I'm going to try and lose weight. Fifteen pounds by my birthday - January 12th - to be exact.
One of the funnier things about writing this post is the poptart I'm chewing right now. Each one is 200 calories, so together they are a 400 calorie breakfast. That's a lot.
Now, I know myself. Dieting and exercising like mad is not going to really happen. I cannot hold myself to it, and I'll feel worse than when I started when it finally breaks. But I can be more moderate! With all of the Halloween candy, I'm going to have one mini-sized candy bar a day at most. If I go without for a week, then I can have one of the bigger ones. I can not buy a snack at school. I'll get the water or juice at lunch, instead of even the diet soda. I'll walk more places. Dance to my headphones (once I get ones that work in both ears) a little more. More fruits and veggies. Less bread and pastries.
It seems like a lot together, I think. I'm a little intimidated by my own plan. However, I've been looking at myself lately, and I don't love what I see anymore. I know I'm not fat, or anything; I don't have a bad body image. I just know that I'm not taking care of myself enough lately, and it's showing in how my clothes are fitting and how I look. (the seam on the pretty dress I was wearing yesterday ripped at the tummy spot. ><' )
I suppose I have to start somewhere! And that's going to be officially NOT drinking soda at lunch today, and NOT mooching any snacks off of anyone. I'm also going to wear better walking shoes every day now, so I have no reason to call my parents and ask for a ride if the walk home is less than an hour or so.
