B.S.!

Have you ever played the card game B.S.? My friends and I love it. You deal the entire deck and the first person lays down as many aces as he/she has. If you suspect he/she is lying, you yell "B.S.!" and if he/she was lying he/she has to take his/her card back. You go around the table like that in continuation ace through king until someone runs out of cards. It's a lot of fun, and it seperates the good liars from the bad ones. I'm not that good at it.

However, I am pretty good at B.S.ing in other areas. For example, today we learned how to write press releases in my Writing for Mass Comm class. As it turns out, I'm pretty darn good at it. I think I may be destined to work in PR. To me, it's so much easier than writing news stories because you get to be as biased as you want. As long as you talk your product/person/event up, you're doing good. As a fiction writer, I've always found articles a bit more challenging than say, a poem or something. But PR work is actually kinda fun! At least I've found something within my major worth pursuing. I also think advertising looks cool. I just don't think I'm meant to be a hard-hitting investigative journalist.

Anyway, I'm so psyched about Thanksgiving because my mom and I are just staying home this year and I'm cooking my first turkey! It's going to be awesome to just relax, pig out, and maybe watch some football. I think I'm back into watching football now after seeing the Michigan/Ohio State game on Saturday (we lost, boo!). As long as I have a team to root for, it's fun.

Happy Thanksgiving to everyone on my flist!
