Happy 4th Hebrew Birthday Chana

Jul 28, 2007 21:31

Haven't had a chance to take birthday pictures yet, but I can't believe my little girl is already 4 years old. Tonight as she was going to bed, she kept checking with me making sure she was REALLY four years old. I told her that since it was her Hebrew birthday and we were in Israel that she was, but if we lived in Canada she wouldn't be 4 until ( Read more... )

Happy b'day to Chana!

I know what you mean about the weird advice from people when you are overdue. It's one thing to hear the sex tip from a friend and quite another to hear it from Mrs. Ploni-on-the-street.

Hope labor gets started at the best possible time for you!

Exactly my point! I mean I don't mind tips from friends, but random kiddush ladies??? Seriously. Avri's been getting it even more than I have, which I guess makes sense. His response is, "Thanks, but have you seen my wife? She's huge!" which is half truth and half just to make people uncomfortable. I don't mind either cuz the man speaks the truth, I'm all baby but SO gigantic!

I'll let him know.

BTW, how's it going with you? You seem to be coping pretty well. Remember, sleep will come eventually, just hopefully not when you're eating soup!

I'm doing OK -- thanks for asking. I'm experiencing that weird combination of needing sleep and yet being ruled by insomnia. I guess I still have a good bit of leftover adrenaline from the birth ... In any event, I have good moments and bad. I feel fine today but was in tears on Friday due to worry about getting ready for Shabbos.

How are you holding up? You seem much more sanguine than I was about being overdue.

I'm always laissez-faire about being late. Plus, everyone expected me to be so and planned their lives around it. I'm actually much more relaxed because I AM late. Scary huh? Aroudn a week late I'm sure I'll start to complain, but otherwise, I'm just going to appreciate being able to do most of my daily tasks without a baby in tow. If I'm still pregnant next Shabbos though, that'll be another story!
