samara and i spent a nice day together.
she has been asking for some alone time with me and today we went to ft.wayne.
she wanted to go to the mall and we rode the carousel together.
we shopped around borders and she found some books that she is enjoying.
it was nice to be with her.
she is a fun, interesting, cool person.
mom stayed w/alan while i was gone.
he slept the entire time.
he woke up a bit when i returned home and ate meatloaf, jello and strawberries for dinner. i gave him a breathing treatment, his chest is sounding congested and i am afraid of pneumonia.
when he is awake, he is friendly and joking.
his hands are busy, he seems to be 'building' or 'fixing' something and asks for his meter or some other tool...
he reaches up and seems to be putting things away or searching for something.
he is seeing things we do not, though i dont think he has seen any people today...he describes shapes and colors, mainly.
he hasn't been out of the bed in 2 weeks now.
he sleeps almost 20+ hours a day and i don't know if it is the new pain medicine and valium combo (valium for seizure preventative) or if it is just the disease progression.
this entire process is hard; however, since he seems more content and relaxed (since the seizures and new meds) it has been a bit easier.
it is so hard when he is in pain, or uncomfortable, or upset, or angry.
i am going to give him his nite-time meds, then go to sleep myself...of course, i will probably peruse my latest bad habit--trashy gossip rags--before i fall off to sleep.
