Kanbe Miyuki passed away on June 20.  I just found out about this from fandom secrets of all places.  I really don't know what to think.  I remember a while back when she had to drop out of a project everyone was hoping her health issues were being taken care of.  She was such a cute Usagi in SeraMyu.  She was only 24.

So, I was just now browsing through some pictures on Ono Hikari's (an actress from SeraMyu) website. It's been a while since I had last visited her site so there were new pictures from some of the plays she has done recently that I hadn't seen, and I received a little shock from who was in one of the pictures.

So, Head Phones President (A band with SeraMyu's first Sailor Moon, ANZA, as the lead singer) is going to be performing in L.A. at some convention!  I really want to go, but there are two problems: 1) They don't perform until Sunday night, so I'd be driving home late only to have to be up early for school.  I could skip school though. >_<  but 2) I ( Read more... )

The Sailor Moon musicals began in 1993 and since 2005 have been on hiatus. During the run of the musicals the role of Sailormoon was played by four actresses, which led fandom to refer to each actresses reign as a stage.
1st Stage - ANZA, 1993-1998
2nd Stage - Hara Fumina, 1998-1999
3rd Stage - Kanbe Miyuki, 2000-2001

I put together a clip of Sano Mizuki from the 1993 SeraMyu performance. This was the only show he was in.   Although he was still cute back then, I think I prefer his look in Wonder Box ^_^.
