When you're crawling on your knees for me I'll smash you in the face

I honestly don't know why it took me so long to come to this conclusion, but I figured since my PS3 is basically brick'd as it is, and the warranty is up on it, why don't I tinker with it to see if I can fix it myself? There's an in depth how-to for fixing the specific problem mine has and it seems fairly doable, so I'm trying it. Got a little stuck though 'cause I need to take the hard drive out and the tools I have suck and I couldn't see very well so the one screw that's holding it in got stripped and now it's super stuck. I need to run over to the hardware store to get some heat compound to put on some little pad thingies on the motherboard, so I'll see if I can find something there to help me get the screw out. I read a trick using a rubber band but we don't even have one of those things hanging around.

If nothing else, it's been entertaining. I've always loved taking shit apart and putting it back together.

Also, I know now where I get my pack rat tendencies from. Why else would my father keep British .303 rounds in his fucking tool chest? That was kind of a surprise to find. Kind of like the time when I was little and playing in the basement... found a grenade clip.

Watched "Best Men" today. It was cute, but made me sad. D: I wanted to just squish Billy, he was so emo and broken (and SPF foofy hair!). Better than I was expecting, for sure.
Next on the SPF list is "Insatiable" found a copy of it today. I think before I watch that though, I need to crank out my next movie review... *plotty hands*

Spent the day with jdkusanagi and his brother yesterday. It was good fun. We watched "Scott Pilgrim vs. The World" and "The Expendables" (they hadn't seen it yet and I wasn't adverse to watching it again).
Scott Pilgrim is super awesome, as I'm sure everyone has heard. You definitely get more out of it if you're into video game culture or at least have working knowledge of older games. Terry kept telling me I'm exactly like Ramona Flowers... Lol, I'll take that as a compliment.
Honestly, can't wait for both of those movies to come out on DVD/BD.

... I also find myself a little curious about Saw 3D. *shame* Not for the 3D (gods I'm sick of that craze already), but more out of curiosity for how SPF's character gets out (or doesn't). I've not seen any of the Saw movies, they don't interest me for the most part, and gratuitous gore isn't my thing, despite my love of zombie movies.

And my drawing muse is finally waking up again! I've actually felt the urge to draw lately. Only I'm still not producing anything spectacular. Just have to keep slogging through anyway. Got a few ideas, most centering around zombies... which could make for some interesting Google searches for reference photos.
