Supernatural
First of all, I'm so happy the boys are back together, but I'm also glad that they don't have everything 'peachy-keen' between the boys. The awkwardness and the super tight leash Dean has on Sam is great. I do like that they emphasize the role differences between the two, even before I knew it was actually a point of the episode.
It's kinda refreshing to have a more light-hearted, monster-of-the-week episode. Yeah there's still the whole Apocalypse thing looming in dark corners waiting to jump out, but it's not the sole focus of the episode.
As for the monster-of-the-week... I'm actually really getting sick of the whole 'evil Pagan god' plot device. It just seems too convenient, but then I guess there's no other way to have homicidal 'spirits' of famous people all in one place, and really? I don't want to give up that Gandhi fight. Lol! He was like a rabid little monkey.
Then of course there's the thing everyone's going to be talking about in this episode: Paris Hilton. Let me just say when I found out about her being in Supernatural, I was pissed. I despise her, absolutely cannot stand her. That said, I have to give credit where it's due. She did a good job. Also, good to see that she can make fun of herself.
That's not to say I didn't have a sadistic little squee of joy when Sam cut off her head (and I have to say too, I'm surprised they showed the decapitated head, figured that was a TV no-no).
Also, the House of Wax jab was cute.
Finally, SO glad to have the boys back together AND on equal ground now. XD
The SOON preview: Why do we have one of these already!? It feels like the season just started and now we're going into hiatus? Shitty deal.
Honestly, most of the preview had me going WTF? 'cause I was still confuzzled over the fact that it was one of those horrible 'SOON' things. I did catch that last portion where they poke fun at 'Horatio Cane' from CSI: Miami. LMAO! Jared did an awesome job of that, got his actions perfectly.
'Kay, so, I went and did the radiation simulator thing today. Well... I was a wee bit late due to SNOW. Honestly? I'm not super happy about it. ^^; It's too soon! Only not, but still... I don't want to admit the fact that it's pretty much winter now. Anyway, it seems that, for whatever reason, when we get a little bit of snow, everyone on the roads turn into complete morons. More so than usual. Since Candice was my ride to the Cross, I had to wait for her to arrive in the city and pick me up. Took her two hours when it should only take at most 45mins. Anyway, all things said, we made it there only 20 minutes late.
I thought this going to be a really long process, but it apparently only took about an hour total. I had to go to the mould room first. There, they made this mask thing for me out of a mouldable plastic. I do not like it. It's basically designed to make it so you can't move since you have to stay still during the radiation. Well, it does it's job quite well, the thing is, I get claustrophobic... Not a fun thing. Plus it stretches my neck back (so my mouth doesn't get radiated when they zap my neck), which does affect my breathing and of course I don't breathe well through my nose which is the only way I can get air with that thing on... It's like a man made panic attack. After that it was over to the CT scanner to try out my new mask thing and get a scan of me in the position they need. That only took a couple minutes too. So now, I just have to wait to hear from the doc.
I couldn't figure out why they didn't mark me though. All through this I kept hearing about how I was going to be marked where they needed to zap me, possible getting tattoos for it...
Lol, yeah. I just realized about an hour ago that they can't. The areas they would have to mark are under the mask, so they just marked that. ^^; Solves my problem.
Anyway, yeah.
Rented "Katamari Forever" a few days ago and finally got 'round to playing it. It's still pretty much as awesome as I remember, but for whatever reason it seems more difficult to control. I recall it being more intuitive. *shrug* I dunno, maybe I just need time to get reacquainted with it. Still a fun, cracked out game though.
And I keep procrastinating on "Uncharted"... I really need to get that done before I get spoiled for anything with the release of "Uncharted 2" around the corner.
ALSO, just downloaded the "Bayonetta" demo from the PSN store. We'll see if it's as awesome as
jdkusanagi keeps telling me it is.
Finally: New layout incoming! I should have it up tonight.
