My work day kinda ended up a little...skewed. Well, first of all actually, I wasn't scheduled to work but I'm covering for someone else who had a bit of a tragedy in the family. For the next week or so I'll be covering for him, so more shifts for me and hopefully I don't burn out. I'm only doing 4 hours at a time though, so in theory it shouldn't be too bad.
I arrived for work a half hour early, as usual, 'cause of the stupid bus system. Half hour goes by, still no one to open the door. Turns out the manager slept in. Joy. So for the first 45 minutes of my shift, we had a pow wow in Starbucks across the parking lot. :B Not bad. Then there was so much talking and the morning meeting, I think I actually worked for like...an hour? Not complaining though.
Other than that, I got all sorts of things Resident Evil today!
First off: Resident Evil 5. I'm almost finished my second run through the game on Veteran. So far, it's been more or less the same as normal mode, but I find it picking up now. I just beat U8 and for the first time, he was a bitch. Killed me, the jerk. But I've maxed out my pistol, rifle, shotgun AND magnum, so I'm pretty much good to go now. :B
Secondly: I was laying on the couch staring at the TV when this commercial came on for a skin care product from Avon. This is something that wouldn't interest me in the least, until I saw the product, "Anew Clinical Derma-Full X3 Facial Filling Serum":
You RE nerds know what I'm talking about. This "wrinkle filler" is a real life:
T-Virus Whut? I'm surprised they can legally do that. I would assume it's some sort of copyright infringement. And then there's the issue of would you actually want to buy a product that looks exactly like something that turns people into zombies, or worse? Especially when the teaser for the movie "Resident Evil: Apocalypse" looked like this:

So yeah, fills your wrinkles and brings back the dead! Everything you need in a facial cream.
And finally, my last bit of RE news: "Resident Evil: Darkside Chronicles"

That Resident Evil 2 remake everyone's been clamoring for? I think this is what we're getting. I would've preferred what they did with RE1 for the GameCube, but I guess the "Umbrella Chronicles" method is better than nothing. With a subtitle like Darkside Chronicles I was expecting getting Wesker's side of the story or something, but whatever.
