Title: How to Spend Valentine's Day

“Hyung duel! I was wondering if you could give me tips on how to spend Valentine’s Day with someone. Especially with someone… you don’t know?”
Jaeho laugh, “Did Yoochun set you up with someone again?”
“Yes,” I mumble out.
“Alright then,” Jaejoong says seriously.
He sits on the couch in his living room, patting the seat next to him and pointing to the seat across from him.
“Ok, tip number one-”
I take out a pad of paper and a pen, poised for notes.
“Never be late or early. Be on time. Fashionably late? So lame and out of date. Being early? Shows you’re desperate.”
I nod, quickly jotting down the notes… late.. Don’t be… ear-
“But, boo, what about traffic? Or if someone in your family gets hospitalized?” Yunho inquires.
I look up to see Jae hyung glaring at his boyfriend, “Oh? Like the time you were late just to seem ’not too eager’?”
“But it wasn’t my fault!”
Jaejoong hyung snorts, “What? You were late because you needed to ‘make yourself look goooood’?”
Yunho hyung nods vigorously.
The other rolls his eyes, “Anyways, tip number two: on the first date, the guy always pays. Unless the girl keeps on insisting that she’ll pay, too.”
A strangled cry comes from Yunho hyung, “I know I did that right!”
“Wrong,” Jae hyung says loudly and clearly, “You kept on saying that you would pay since you were going to be the ‘man’ of the relationship.”
Yunnie hyung laughs nervously, “Jae, you know that it’s not true anymore, right?”
“If that’s true, then why won’t you let me top?”
I cough, “Hyung, too much info!”
“Oh right. Sorry.”
Yunho hyung mouths a ‘thank you’.
“Ok, tip number three: Bring a thoughtful gift. For example, your date’s favorite flowers or roses.”
I nod, my tongue peeking out from the corner of my mouth.
“Boo Jae, I did that, didn’t I?”
I think asking for tips was a bad idea…
“Yes, you did, Yunnie,” Jae hyung says lightly.
I feel a storm brewing.
Jaejoong hyung continues, “But then you realized that they were for your mother so you took them back.”
I flinch. This is somewhere I do not want to be at the moment. But I need tips!!!!
Jae hyung coughs after he glares at his lover, “Tip number four: prepare the date ahead of time so your date will enjoy it. As for you, Yunho, did that part right in the beginning. But then you took me to a family event of yours that had ‘square dancing’ since you had relatives from America to come.”
Yunho hyung sinks lower into the couch with a pained expression. This is not how I expected this to turn out…
“Last tip for you, dong saeng, and the rest is up to you. Tip number five: call your date after two days if you’re still interested.”
I write the last bit and run out the door. I can hear Jae hyung yelling at Yunho hyung that he never called back but instead, had to ask someone else who knew him to set them up again.
