For a while now, I've been experiencing a weird thing that has bothered me but I hadn't mentioned it to anyone until today. It's a little hard to explain exactly, but I'll try. When I was in the hospital, they referred to patients as "guests." Here they refer to us as "residents." This makes a lot of sense for most of the people here, since they will probably be here for the rest of their lives ( Read more... )

I don't care what that groundhog thinks, Spring has come to Portland early. Last week I saw pretty dark purple crocuses on campus, and this morning I just looked out the window and saw daffodils in the front yard!
