Dear Ben Cross (Letter 43)
Dear Ben
Hope you're doing well. Heard you got busted for speeding the other day. BAD BOY! :) Shouldn't do such things *grin*
I've had a busy week and I'm exhausted. So exhausted that today that if I may vacation was tomorrow I wouldn't care at all. Thank God that I had to walk to the printer a lot today at work because I don't know if I could have made it through the day.
Monday night I went A&S (Arts and Sciences). I probably mentioned in a previous letter that I'm in the SCA (Society of Creative Anachronism). A&S is where we get together (guys too) and do such things as knit, make garb (costumes), or whatever. Particularly medieval type stuff. I tried knitting. I am not good at it, but it basically is practice right?
Tuesday I went to my singing lesson. Great success! My fourth lesson and I'm up a full octave! Having said that those last couple of notes aren't exactly useable. Yet. I really like my instructor. He's very kind and generous with his experience. He's an actor as well and has been in a few Canadian television productions. He's pretty awesome. I'm lucky to know him.
After the singing lesson I went to a writing meetup. It was pretty great. I had a good time and even read something of mine. People seemed to like it but I wasn't all that enthused about it. It needs work. One guy seemed to enjoy it but I'm kind of wondering whether he was just hitting on me. He's actually pretty cute and I don't mind *grin*
Yesterday I went and shopped for costuming for September. Ben, I hate shopping. Though my physique is currently under adjustment, I still hate going shopping. My friend came with me and was quite helpful. By the end of the shopping trip I had enough. I got a few shirts and a lovely ensemble for the game. I particularly like the top. I just need the right jewelry. I have some to choose some so I'm not worried. It definitely needs jewelry though. Anyway, I think it will definitely do for that evening.
Today I am so very very glad that fight practice was cancelled today. Most people are going to Quad War. I don't go to SCA events anymore though I think I may start going to Tavern if I can practice Heralding. It will give me something to do. I think it's something I would enjoy so I am definitely going to pursue it.
Filled out my Kickstarter survey for the Mind's Eye Theatre: Vampire the Masquerade project. As I've mentioned I spent a butt load of money (completely worth it) and now the process has begun for them to start processing what ever everyone has pledged for. It's pretty exciting. Not as exciting as the actual game in Long Beach but exciting none the less. I've ordered the Deluxe book, the soft cover and hard cover book and some pins. In addition to the ticket to the game, etc :)
I'm going to go now. Tired. Tomorrow I have to get some blood tests done so at least I can sleep in for another 45 minutes. The blood tests are just routine, nothing serious. Should have done them quite some time ago. No big deal. Quite frankly I just want my Xray results.
