Dear Ben Cross (Letter 27)
Dear Ben,
Hope your day hasn't been as warm as this one is for me. It's hotter than Hades here right now. I am literally sitting here with an ice pack on my head. Yes, I know. But you do what you have to. I'd almost sleep with someone for air conditioning. Almost but not quite.
Today went pretty well. I went to see World War Z today with my friend, her husband and son. It was a good movie, but for a zombie movie it didn't have any gore. Despite that fact it was good.
My friend of course, in typical fashion, was late. Let me tell you Ben, want to drive me absolutely bat crap? Just be late. I hate it when people are late. Too many people have been stupidly late because hey, Gail's single and her time isn't worth as much as theirs, right? I find it deeply rude to be late for things and in general I try to be at least 15 minutes early for things. Most people aren't allowed to be late for work and I imagine it's frowned upon for actors to arrive late to the set. So why is it magically ok to be late for friends? Even if they are single. I don't think it is. My time is valuable to me too.
Of course, if there's something important that happens that you're late, no problem. But I can't handle it if there's a stupid reason behind it. Can't get your stuff together? Start 3 hours early if you have to. But don't be late because you can't organize yourself. I apologize for the rant but MY GOD really? If you can get to work on time you can get to a movie on time.
I'm watching Jack the Giant killer. It's um..not your most notable work, but you sure do shine amongst the other actors. I <3 your acting :) You are really convincing when you're confronting someone. But I am kind of questioning the dinosaurs. I'm also questioning the castle. But otherwise it's not bad.
I really like the cape that Queen is wearing. Think you can score that for me? :) ;) Yah, I know the answer to that already. The costuming in this movie is surprisingly good. I'm really happy with it. I really do kind of want some of the outfits.
Going to my second singing lesson on Thursday. Can't wait. Maybe there will be some actual singing with words, not just vocal sounds. Wouldn't that be awesome?
Also I need to start thinking of accessories for the New Orleans trip. I really can't do anything about the LA trip until my character is sorted.
I think tomorrow I may write to explain LARP to you and why I enjoy it so. I think where what we call 'mundanes' wouldn't understand, you would.
Anyway, I'm too hot to continue. Blrrggh. If I don't write in a couple of days send a mountie. A cute one. Or come over yourself to check up on me *grin* Sorry, I really shouldn't hit on you. hehehee
