Well, we are now moved into a new house. I'm moved into a new job, and have no internet at home.
BUT!, now I can log into my LJ from work, so you're likely to see more posts.
I am very relieved that my replacement at the school not only seems like she probably won't go insane but will also be hard working and more than likely do a very good job.
In our new neighborhood the "neighborhood committee" says we need to pay a $50 "entrance fee" and then like $5 bucks a month after that. I wanna know what the hell that money goes toward before I fork over anything. Amika and I plan to do our friendly new neighbor introductions on Saturday and give everybody cookies, so I'm thinkin when we introduce ourselves to the person in charge of the committee we'll ask then. Really, how do we know the old guy (so far it's just 2 old people who say this committee even exists)in charge aren't just scammin us? Even if its legit I still think it's kind of a scam though.
My new coworkers seem nice and the welcome party was fun. There was also overlap with my predecessor so he's been able to really show me around the office and help me a lot.
The new house is a mess. We've just kinda thrown everything in and neither one of us has had time to really unpack and make it into a home. But the cats seem to like it. They LOVE the stairs. The carpet on the stairs has already developed a thick layer of fur. We're going to have to keep that in check or we'll slip on it.
