November 30th: In Japan Finally!
Hi all! Both Terry and I are in Japan finally. I flew in the 27th and he had already arrived a few days earlier.
We are staying in our housing on base. We're in "Niban" Tower on the third floor. It's smaller than our place in Virginia but nice enough. We even have one of those Japanese vending machines downstairs where we can get cucumber-grape juice with jelly chunks and everything, ha ha.
The first night I arrived --after a fourteen hour flight on Thanksgiving Day-- we went off base and had an awesome bowl of Ramen. The next day we braved the Black Friday sales on base at the crack of dawn but got a good deal on a TV. Terry is happy (I told him 'Merry Christmas!' lol).
But all in all we're just settling in. Tomorrow our household goods should be here. Then we can start enjoying Japan soon.
