This is a wonderful little fic. Normally I hate, hate, hate christmas stuff, but I did like this one. I suppose it's actually pretty anti-christmasy. I like the way that this fic plays around both with our expectations of the McShep pairing (Sheppard is secretly gay, McKay pounces, happily ever after) and the whole Elf thing. Also, I do sort of have a kink for 'John is really a X' fics.
The main reason I'm reccing this though is that it manages to be very angsty and get a lot across with minimal dialogue and minimal fanfare. I loved all of the images.
I think I would have liked it better without that last line, just because it would mess with expectations all the more, but X-mas fics are nothing if not for happy endings, especially in this fandom.
