You post very good photography but I don't remember drawings. I would be very curious to see a sample of your work. It's cool that you continue in your father's footsteps, artwise. My grandmother from my father's side also did needlepoint work!

I somehow missed your comment! I know how much I cherish my father's drawings. I hope you have your grandmother's work to cherish as well :)

I can imagine it's a lot of work to write a children's book. What inspired you?

Initially, I think it was simply the fun I had had raising Lauren and wanting to make a little book for her about what we'd done. But now I think the idea has taken on a bit more significance because, in truth, I am having difficulty letting Lauren go, seeing her erased from the world bit by bit. I think if I can allow Lauren to continue to live, have adventures, to learn, in books then maybe I can feel easier about letting her go. Aaron is my son but I will always mourn the loss of Lauren and people don't understand that. They think one is the other. Not so. So, therapy I guess :)

I bet that book is going to be awesome. You're not only a gifted writer, but you'll be pouring your heart and soul into it, a lot more than writers usually do. :)
