A Public Update. . .

I figured I'd make a public update for those who maybe I don't have on my friends list any longer that still wish to somewhat keep in touch. Or for those who are just nosey and can't stand not knowing where others are in life and wish to compare. Either or, here goes =D

I graduated from the University of Georgia last weekend with my B.A. in Sociology. How exciting that was! I will be starting a new job this week working in Admin/H.R. for a Fortune 500 company who has a branch just down the road from my new place.

Speaking of the new place...I of course couldn't wait to move out of Athens. I got a steal of a deal on an incredibly beautiful and huge apartment in Gwinnett County. Huge patio that I absolutely adore, spacious bedrooms, garden tubs, walk in closets, huge laundry room, and so much more. I love it so much. And my wonderful roommate is none other than the love of my life, David.

That leads me to our relationship. If you don't know David, he and I have been friends basically since my freshman year in college. We decided a year and a half ago to start dating and it's been so wonderful ever since. I think that the fact that we were friends to begin with made our relationship so much stronger and happier. We are a great match: we have our differences in so many places, but yet in so many ways we are the same. David graduated with me last weekend with his B.A. in Environmental Economics. Very proud of him as well. So, we knew that it would be a wise decision to move in together and save money since whoever got a job offer first, the other would follow. We both know and recognize that we are the ones for each other. And yes, there will be a ring and a huge beautiful wedding somewhere in the somewhat-near future, but we are waiting to get financially stable and settled so that it can be all that we have both dreamed of for each other, and not rushed.

Things really couldn't be going any better for me. I am at this point in my life where so much has changed, and is still changing a bit. I have to get use to the Monday through Friday, 830-500 work week as opposed to the really odd hourse I have been accustomed to working at the police department. No longer do I have to work holidays either: what a blessing. It's all so wonderful though. As I've always said with my relationship with David, and now it just applies to my life in total: I could not ask for more.

Oh, and some big icing on my graduation cake: my parents gave David and I a cruise to Nassau and Coco Cay, Bahamas so we'll be enjoying that sometime in the near future too!

Hope all is well in your world, whoever you are. ♥
