Hello my loves! An update from yours truly...

I don't even know what's all happened since I last updated - mostly a whole lotta nothing, lol.

I think I've had a test in each of my classes so far - the results are pretty eh. I know I can do better and I need to study more (or you know just study at all - oops...) It's all good though because it's still fairly early in the semester. Ironically the test I was worried about the most is the one I did the best on - and probably studied for the least. Weird how that stuff works out.

Went to the Walker Art Center in the twin cities last weekend - so cool! It was mostly modern art, which I think is cool, but it's hard to interpret sometimes. They did have the neat exhibit by Chuck Close who does these amazing self portraits. It was really cool because we talked about him in one of the previous art classes I took, and actually had to do our own self portrait based on his methods. And they have a sculpture garden too, which was the greatest because I got to see the spoonbridge and cherry! I've been wanting to see it since I was like 15 and went to the MOA for the first time, so that was quite exciting for me. If you don't know what I'm talking about, it's this huge sculpture of a spoon with a cherry on it (google it for a pic) - so neat! And there were even people getting their wedding pictures taken in front of it. We had a whole discussion about how it would be neat to have a reception at an art museum - I think I totally might do that! It was also just great to see the architecture of the building and the unique landscaping and everything (plus the cute boy out front!)

I am home for the weekend because we had off school Friday (4 day weekend for me since I have no class on Thursdays!) So yesterday I went shopping with my mom to Woodfield Mall in Illinois. We had the best day! It was absolutely gorgeous weather out and we just found some good stuff to buy. Everyone needs to go to the store Anthropologie - they have some amazing stuff. If I had money I'd blow so much of it there. Plus we went to Ikea since my mom had never been there. It was a good mother/daughter day!

Today I went to visit my old Spanish teacher from high school which was also awesome! I missed him a lot, and he was so stoked to see me too. We are definitely going to keep in touch and I'll probably go back and visit him again when I'm home for Christmas break. It was weird how now that I'm out of school we could have a conversation like actual adults - he was bitching about how the school is stupid and stuff, it was great. Also mentions of my high school crush Peter - I hadn't thought about him for a while...

I also went to the gynecologist for the first time today (yeah I know I'm behind) and it was surprisingly uneventful. Not a big deal at all, which was definitely good. So I'm starting on birth control too, which will hopefully regulate my periods so they're not such a pain in the ass!

And I just got back not that long ago from seeing In Her Shoes with my mom. Such a good movie! I had heard all the good reviews, and I wasn't disappointed! I think it stuck pretty close to the book from what I remember, since I read it like 3 years ago. And the casting was dead on - Cameron Diaz really was perfect for the role. She's a good actress and it made me like her a little more :) Just a good good movie with so many things that all kinds of people could relate to. And it kind of made me wish I had a real sister.

Hmm - I got another little sister in sorority, Deanna. So excited about this because she's awesome and had no clue at all that it was me! She also loves Desperate Housewives so that's a bonus. Unfortunately I missed big/lil night since I was home. I thought she was upset with me, but we've talked and we're cool so that made me feel better!

And lastly, omg JC is so frickin' cute! Seriously! I saw him on ET on MTV and just guh. Singing. In the studio. Seeing him sing in the studio. Wearing pink. Being all spastic. Saying dorky stuff. *sigh* Tracy melts into a pile of goo... My little heart is definitely content and I cannot wait for his new stuff! eee!

This has just been the greatest weekend - the weather is absolutely gorgeous (so warm for October), and my mom and I had some great quality time - it's nice to be with my parents a little, and just I don't know. I'm so happy - I love it!

Okay I believe that's all for now - later!
