Went to the John Mayer Trio concert tonight and it was pretty amazing! John Mayer is just such a great performer, and so great to see live, just yes - love him! It actually turned out well, considering I didn't really know any of the new stuff he did. And they only did one of the two songs that were put up on Itunes last week (Ironically the one they didn't do, Come When You Call, is stuck in my head). Still there were several songs that I could tell I'd like - and I think that's saying a lot after only hearing them once. I cannot deal with the people at general admission concerts though - the pushing, and sneaking in, and just plain rudeness, grr. It makes me mad - but good music fixes it!
The crowd went crazy when he played Something's Missing (I was happy because I really like it). Then when he played Daughters, we sang a line back to him and you could tell he was impressed - it was loud and sounded pretty good! I would have been impressed too :) Then he rewarded us by playing Neon - so stoked because that is one of my all time favorites by him! I thought he was playing it when he started, but I wasn't sure - so happy I was right! And he has not played this on tour because the other guys did not know it, lol, which he told us. They did a good job improvising though!
Also got a cute t-shirt, which is awesome because I love getting shirts from concerts and talking about it when someone asks me! And I had a beer - a $6 beer! That's nuts - I definitely miss my $1.50 beer from Winona, lol.
Got to hang out with my mama today too so that was nice since I haven't seen my parents since I left for school. We went shopping and it was nice. I got to see my brother too and I haven't seen him since the beginning of August - he was way impressed by my computer because he hadn't seen it yet. He especially love the being able to write on it thing - he was highly amused, lol.
I guess that's about it - I better go to bed since I have to get up semi-early to work on some sorority stuff before heading back to Winona. So excited for Desperate Housewives tomorrow night!
So in conclusion - awesome weekend...check! lol
OMG, also JC and I like the same poptarts flavor - are we like totally meant for each other or what? But seriously, it's all about the brown sugar cinnamon bitches!
