Ever since the Admiral came home permanently in March, I've been off Live Journal except maybe once a week or so to scan things. I am woefully out of touch with everyone's lives, so if something exciting or tragic has happened and I haven't commented, it's not that I don't care -- I'm just more in my real life right now. I'd like to get back into at least daily checks -- because I still consider my cyber-friends to be a major part of my support system.
So I'm starting with this tidbit -- because I thought it was an interesting way to look at things...
About a month ago, when I was picking ConTessa up from preschool she told me that her best friend there was a dolphin trainer.
I said, "Oh, she wants to be a dolphin trainer when she grows up?"
ConTessa said, "No, Mommy, she already is a dolphin trainer. She just hasn't learned how yet."
Are there things we are born to do and be even if we haven't learned how yet? Am I a writer whether I publish or not -- or ever learn to write action and plot? (ok, I think that rhymed without my meaning to -- but I'm not going to write that joke about being a poet).
I thought it was amusing, but one of those weird wisdom of a child things too.
