OK, well, last night I slept on my right (dominant) arm and it is still killing me. All day my shoulder aches with even the slightest lateral movement. And the position I have to sit in to type is definitely not comfortable.

So, a short post then.

The Admiral started feeling poorly last night (body aches, mostly). He left for work later than usual this morning (meaning he decided to skip his morning swim) and when he came home, he said he felt terrible and went to take a nap before dinner. This left me to get dinner on my own (not really unusual on work days) and then get the kids their baths and ready for bed (this is unusual as bath time is very much 'Daddy time' on normal nights). Have I mentioned that I have had a runny nose, sore throat since Halloween? No? And that's not even mentioning the sore arm thing that came up today.

I wasn't raised to expect this. I know that men stereotypically collapse at the least sign of sickness, but that's not how it was in my house. I mean, my mom is great and really pushes through when she has to, but she always has something bothering her. My dad almost never got sick, and never took his sick leave unless he was at death's door. Ordinarily, the Admiral is pretty good -- but there are occasions when he seems to be clobbered by some ailment or other. It could be that he is exposed to worse things at work than I am in my daily routine. I don't know, maybe it just seems like he's being weak tonight because I'm so tired too.

And this wasn't as short as I expected, and my arm still hurts, and there are dishes to be done before bedtime.

And the Admiral is watching Rat Patrol.
