"Se La Vi," said the old folks, "it goes to show you never can tell." [old myspace blog]

You know that song… in the movie Pulp Fiction… when John Travolta and Uma Thurman are at Jack Rabbit Slims and about to dance to the twist… and they’re all dancing and its just a beautiful fucking moment when two complete strangers suddenly bond and become friends. If you get relationships and you saw the movie then you understand me… ok ok let me get to the point. I love to just stop sometimes and take in how fucking wonderful the moment is… its like savoring the sourness of a coooold glass of lemonade after a hard work out… well… I was kind of feeling blue for a moment today… because I was reminded of that one dude, and because I was faced with the realization that I might be losing another close friend…

I was talking with Mami after Kenpo… we ended up chatting away for a few hours… and we were talking about how jealousy and pride makes us so stupid and selfish. And how there isn’t a victim when it comes to a bad friendship or relationship. Both sides can easily decide that it isn’t worth it… however more often than not… both parties usually hang on as long as possible just for the fraction of the chance that it might work out. Well… bad things happen… and its gonna happen when people don’t think about consequences… dammit I can’t get to my point!... ok…… in a situation like that…. You have to come to peace with all the pain you put yourself through… and just like I love to stop and be amazed at the moments that life gives us… we have to look back and be grateful for the good times we shared with the people we don’t have in our lives anymore.

Ruthay made a good point about not being bitter through life… but Mami amazed me at how simply she put it… “We are human… and we can’t help the fact that we are angry or upset about things that were beyond our control… all we can do is try to deal with it… and have hope that one day it won’t bother us. and life will have balance.” Something like that... it’s the Asian chill out philosophy hehe

…Well ...Here’s to finding balance…
