Love

What is love?
Where is love?
How is love?
Who is love?
When is love?
Why is love?
Is love...love?

My opinion on 4-3-05....
These days we seem to be a little confused on what LOVE truly is. So I ask the question...what is LOVE? Is it the general desire to care for someone? No, this is not LOVE! Is it the sweet kisses in the rain? No, this is not LOVE! Is it the dancing in the warm sun? No, this is not LOVE! Is it the tender embraces in the nightly hours? No, this is not LOVE! Is it conquering all upcoming obstacles and still cherishing each other? No, this is not LOVE! Is it the day to day emotion of "that funny feeling" for that person? No, this is not LOVE! Is it the "never say never" approach in a relationship? No, this is not LOVE! Is it the someone you always come back to who is always there? No, this is not LOVE! Is it the ever-abiding trust within each other? No, this is not LOVE! Is it that person whom you have been with for an extended period of time...surely..you must love each other right?
No! THIS IS NOT LOVE
None of these things alone are what we call LOVE. Love is many things combined!
So what is love?

"LOVE is patient, LOVE is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it keeps no record of wrongs.
LOVE does not delight in evil but rejoices in the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres....LOVE never fails..."

So is being "in love" impossible? None of us can be that perfect! Our humnaistic narrow minds know that we are all flawed. We cannot have perfect LOVE amongst each other. So how are we able to have a love that will last? We must understand that we can only be the recievers, not the givers, of a perfect, everlasting love. Then and only then can we give pieces of our love to each other. Do not claim what you give is always love. Use that four letter word carefully and understand the power behind it.
"If I give all I possess to the poor and surrender my body to the flames, but have not love, I gain nothing!"
Actions can be without love, claimed in love, but are really without nothing without love.
So we can say all the great things we do or have done are nothing weithout love. How do we know we are in love? We guess, until it has been tested with time. LOVE that has lasted 5 months is not really LOVE. Love that has lasted 46 years and lifetimes until death...that is LOVE.
Remember that the next time you tell someone you love them....because you're only guessing until you know "I LOVE YOU..." is on your lips your dying day.
So what is LOVE?
Some may never know.

It goes to show how fast a person's opinion can change can't it? Yes, I agree with my past day self in some aspects. In others, I do not. It goes to show what actually falling in love will do for you. The only question is...am I right now? Or was I right then? I want to believe that I am in love at the moment...that it's a perfect, beautiful, blissful love that will last forever...but am I only guessing? I don't think I am. I saw my sister get married...and I saw that they love each other.
But I still don't believe that people fall in and out of love...So where does divorce and break up come from?
Were those people in love?
I don't know.
It's all a mystery to me.
But I do know that what I feel inside can't be anything but love. It's more powerful than I ever imagined.I think I understand what I meant when I wrote this...I was just still under a cloak of bitterness.
Perfect love is not attainable by humanistic forms because we are all flawed.
You have to have the influence of something perfect, something holy, to create a perfect love.
That is why I believe...I have a perfect love.......and a love that will last.
So my last statement stands...
So what is LOVE?
Some may never know.
