YAY! I called it!
From Soap Central (bane of my existence):
Soap veteran Mary Beth Evans is headed back to As the World Turns. The actress, who just finished taping a guest stint on Days of our Lives, was last seen on ATWT in 2005. She'll resurfaced in June.
With her character's name being mentioned on an almost daily basis, it should come as no surprise that Mary Beth Evans (Sierra Montgomery) is headed back to As the World Turns.
"A few days after wrapping DAYS, I got a call to go to NY for a handful of episodes of As the World Turns," Evans posted in her blog. "Now this is getting fun. Just when you think, 'What will I do next?'... something surprises you. Allowing yourself to be open and ready for an opportunity I think is partly the key to success."
Evans began a five-year run as Sierra in December 2000. Much of her time with the long-running CBS soap was on a recurring basis, though her final year with As the World Turns was as a contract player. Evans' last appearance in Oakdale was on October 10, 2005.
Sierra will not be returning to Oakdale alone. She'll be joined by daughter Lucy, played by Sarah Glendening. Glendening was last on As the World Turns in May 2009.
Evans will first air on As the World Turns on June 17. The is no word on how long fans can expect to see the actress stick around.
Hee! I said in one of my recaps the other day how I wished Sierra could come back onto the show, and BAM! Here she is. And she's debuting the day after my birthday! :-D
I wonder what this means for storyline purposes, though. Apparently Gabriel isn't going anywhere anytime soon, so I guess maybe I should try to give him a chance. Bah. :-P
