I agree that Noah's had a pretty messed up life, especially before Luke came into the picture. I was so happy when Luke's family finally alluded to Noah as one of their own (and surprisingly, it was Damian who did that first!).
But if I'm being honest, I have to say that I'm okay with Noah being hurt for a while. I know that sounds awful, but I feel like he's really been hurting Luke these past months and I feel like Luke deserves time to go off and think about himself and do what's going to make himself happy for a while. Of course, I don't want Noah's feelings completely destroyed, and I don't want him to suffer for months on end, but I do think it would do him some good to get another perspective on what he had with Luke, and how good it actually was. Then he can go fight for his man. :-) And we know that Luke is going to be there for him regardless during the whole surgery anyway.
And yes, in terms of storyline, I am OVER THE MOON that the boys seem to FINALLY be getting a proper triangle. It feels like for the first time, the writers aren't scared to just lay it all out there and tell the story the way it should be told. I also think that the writers couldn't have picked a better time or a better actor/character in Eric/Reid to do this. Plus, it also helps to know that all three actors - Van, Jake, and Eric - are also enjoying the crap out of this story! :-D
