Let's start with Carly today.
She's diligently working on coming up with a new fragrance for Monte Carlo when - surprise! - Lily shows up at her door! Wow! I can't remember the last time I saw Lily and Carly in a scene together. Last time was probably when Lily was screeching at Carly to stay away from Holden, right? :-P
So Carly fills Lily in this new perfume project, and Carly confesses that the only scent she really enjoys is that of the coffee in her mug. The light bulb over Lily's head goes off and she sets up a meeting with Rhonda Somebody, who is apparently a marketing genius, to help Carly get her new fragrance off the ground. And by that I mean Carly wants to add the scent of coffee to the perfume to spice it up a bit.
(There was a very funny scene with Carly and Lily commiserating about how horrible they are as mothers. I agree with Lily saying that, especially when it comes to Faith. But I actually think Carly is a really good mom. She gets along with all of her kids and she definitely knows when to put her foot down! Also...Lily referring to Parker as a better mother than herself just made me LAUGH and LAUGH, 'cause I've been saying this for weeks! HAHAHAHAHA.)
Anyway, Carly talks with Rhonda Whoever for a few minutes, and decides she's going to call Craig so he can meet her at Metro and the three of them can talk business. What Carly doesn't know, however, is that Craig has spent all morning trying to find out what the hell happened with Ellis and the money he took from Parker's trust fund. There was a funny conversation with Craig and a P.I. he hired to find Ellis, in which Craig basically just shouted, "SHOW ME THE MONEYYYYYY!" at him and the P.I. went off to do his job. :-D
So Carly calls Craig after the P.I. has been dispatched, and their conversation kind of went like this:
Carly: The fragrance will only take a million, zillion, bajillion dollars to launch...what's the big deal, Craig?
and Craig promptly responded with a full-body twitch while breaking out into a colossal sweat.
HAHA!
So Craig tries to deliberately sabotage the meeting with Rhonda What's Her Name, and when Carly pulls him off to the side to presumably beat him over the head with her purse, he tells her that he wants to pull the plug on the whole perfume thing, because he doesn't think Monte Carlo is ready, and they should just focus on Carly's women's wear line. The real reason, of course, is that Craig, Monte Carlo, and now Parker are all broke-ass poor, thanks to Craig's wonderful "investment" idea for the company.
Later, Craig gets a call from his P.I., who has located Ellis. Craig finds him sitting happily in a theater munching his way through a bucket of popcorn (with 3D glasses on?) and Craig takes him by the throat to find out what Ellis has been playing at. Preview for tomorrow has Carly showing up demanding to know the same thing! Ack!
Sidenote: Craig, Ellis, and Carly in a dark movie theater with 3D glasses on = FREAKING HYSTERICAL. Kinda reminded me of those old cartoons where the main character plays detective and dresses up in all sorts of silly outfits just to blend in. LMAO!
So now on to Liberty, who gets a free pass from Janet to skip out on Rocco's funeral (and burial) so that she can hop a plane back to Oakdale with Gabriel. Okay, Janet...you've met Gabriel once, and Liberty has cancer. You really just let her get on a plane with this kid?!
So Libby Lu and Gabe hang out on the ride home, and when Liberty tries to push Gabriel for some more info on his family, he quickly changes the subject. Then Liberty gets a call from Parker, and Gabriel basically says to her, "Don't mind me...I'm just gonna stand over here and blatantly eavesdrop on your conversation!" :-P
Parker and Liberty get into a wee bit of a snit and Gabriel is quick enough to pick up on it! Thankfully, Liberty finds her own way home, where she confronts Parker, who flat-out asks her if she had sex with Gabriel! AHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. Of course, they get into a fight, and Parker tells Liberty about how he thinks Gabriel is dealing drugs because of the whole "Hey! Those pills were really mine!" incident with Faith. (Wasn't it a baggie of joints, though? Faith left that baggie in Parker's room and then Gabriel covered for her when Parker called her out on it. But in today's episode, Parker said it was pills. ?? Writers can't keep their stories straight!) Anyway, short of the long: Parker is going to get down to the bottom of all of this. And by "bottom" I mean that I suspect that Gabriel is going to be eating Parker's fist sometime very soon. :-)
Libs meets Gabe at Java and they discuss Gabriel's lifestyle. He explains that he covered for Faith and therefore, is not a drug dealer. Then Liberty laments over not being able to go home because of all the crazy stuff going on with Parker, and Gabriel suggests she come back to his room with him. (OH HOW CONVENIENT! And okay...I was wrong about the girl, but I suspected that Gabriel just wanted some Oakdale tail! Libby Lu better watch out!) Of course, Gabriel assures Liberty that it's "not like that" (*coughbullshitcough*) and she goes back to the Lakeview with him. (Gabriel to Liberty, a la Joey Tribbiani: How you doin'?!) There they find Parker rifling through Gabriel's stuff and I think this is where things between Parker and Gabriel are gonna get REALLY messy. Oh, how I love me some boyfights. :-)
Meanwhile, Lily rushes back home to tear through a box of photos, where she pulls one out that suspiciously looks like a younger Gabriel, who she thinks she has just seen in the Lakeview lobby. She then gets on the phone with Sierra and squeals, "OMG You'll never guess who I just saw in the lobby of the Lakeview! Brad Pitt is so totally hott!"
HAHA, kidding! She really tells Sierra to "brace herself", because she thinks she's just seen Gabriel...here. In Oakdale. DUN DUN DUNNNNNNNNNNNN! Three guesses as to who Gabriel ends up belonging to.
PS - The actor who plays Gabriel reminds me of a young Keanu Reeves. It's something about the face shape and the hair. Not exactly twins, but there's something reminiscent of the two of them.
Oh yeah, and Gabriel saying something like, "Nothing's gonna happen...unless you want it to" to Liberty?! LAME! Don't go stealing Reid Oliver's other people's lines!!!
Tomorrow's preview has Lily and Lucinda looking at more photos going, "He's THE Gabriel?! GASP!" So yeah. Doesn't take a neurosurgeon to figure this one out! (Ha! U c wut I did thar?)
:-D
And now on to the whole Dusty/Janet/Jack/Teri/ARGH I hate this storyline a lot situation.
Can we do a fly-by of this story today? Yes?
Dusty shows up to be with Janet at the burial. Janet's brother Eddie gets a bug up the arse about Dusty being there, and a fight breaks out. Dusty accidentally hits Jack. Jack tells everyone to knock it the hell off and show some respect for the dead. Afterward, Dusty tells Janet he loves her, Janet says she loves him back, SHE GIVES HIM BACK HIS RING (dumbass!), and Dusty takes Teri back to Oakdale for a full night of work at Metro. Janet and Jack leave Melrose Park together and drive home. The end.
Moral of the story? JANET CICCONE IS DRIVING ME UP THE WALL. Though, I gotta say, I liked her today. She wasn't nasty to Dusty, and even though she returned his ring (*headdesk*), she still loves Dusty. She just feels that she can't be with him at the moment. And Dusty promised to put the ring back on her finger whenever she was ready and they would go from there. ♥
PS Janet, YOUR FATHER TRIED TO HAVE DUSTY KILLED. THAT IS WHAT SET ALL OF THESE EVENTS INTO MOTION! I feel like I can't say this enough!!! Dusty literally took a bullet to the head because of Janet's father!
Argh.
Couple things I'm looking forward to, though:
1) Parker's (hopefully) going to beat the snot out of Gabriel! HOO-RA!
2) Lucinda's going to be on tomorrow! Aw yeah!
3) Craig Montgomery is going to earn himself a bitchslap for kissing Carly without her permission!
and 4) Hopefully Gabriel's story will be ending soon! Haha!
