Agh. Show.
So Janet got the awesome news that her father died today. He passed away before he could even get back to the hospital, because the EMTs at the scene were already covering him up by the time we got to see everything.
:-(
Okay, I admit, I didn't like Rocco. And it's a damn shame, because if he hadn't gotten all crazy about Janet marrying Dusty, none of this would have happened. But!
It was still really sad. Janet was really sad. And that scene where she sat with Jack and asked him why it hurt so much that her father was gone even after he'd caused her so much pain? T_T Sounds like Luke and Damian to me. (Though Luke is lucky in the aspect that Damian is not dead.)
And for real, everyone on this show has daddy issues! I think Casey is the only exception to this rule. Tom Hughes needs to start educating the other fathers on this show on how not to be a screw up. Lesson the first? DON'T GET YOURSELF KILLED. Or don't get yourself into a situation where your kids think you're dead!
Anyway...Dusty asked Janet to meet him at the police station and at Liberty's urging, Janet went to go meet him. Then he broke all the horrible news to her, and it was even more sad, because Dusty kept telling Janet that her father was a hero, and he went out with Dusty in the name of justice. WAHHH!
And poor Dusty. Oh, Dusty. I've never seen him so quiet and so apologetic before. T_T Poor guy. This isn't his fault! He told Rocco to go back to the hospital so many times, but Rocco wouldn't listen to him! AGH!
So I'm assuming that Janet is scratching Dusty off her "People to Keep in My Life" list, at least for now. As soon as he told her about Rocco, she didn't want to be near him, and she immediately ran to Jack. And he, of course, was there to comfort her.
Not that I blame him. But Viper!Carly has been on the loose lately, and he's treading on thin ice with her as it is.
Which brings me to Carly and Craig today. Craig decides to get the both of them massages at the office. Carly refused at first, but eventually gave in, and they ended up having a heart-to-heart of sorts. Craig told Carly that he was an idiot for letting her go, and that he felt weak when she wasn't with him. Then he asked her if the massage helped her (because she was all pent up from her fight with Jack - she called herself a "shrew" about the whole thing), and Carly promptly replied, "I feel great now! I'm gonna go get Jack!" and Craig's face was like, "Ah, crap." >_<
HAHAHAHA. I don't necessarily feel bad for Craig, because he's still using Parker's trust fund money for Monte Carlo, and he's letting Gabriel rope him into this idiotic "GIVE ME MONEY OR I BLAB!" scheme, but he sounded sincere when talking to Carly. *shrug* I dunno about him, guys. And he's still searching for a way to get Gabriel out of his hair and I'm kinda hoping he finds it soon.
Nothing against Gabriel's actor. He's a good actor. I just don't care for the character very much, although he's heating things up with Liberty (which I'm all sorts of "eh" about) and now there's an EPIC PARKER-GABRIEL PISSING CONTEST a-brewing! Yee-haw!
Parker runs into Faith in Old Town today and she suggests that the two of them go visit Liberty at the hospital, since she's waiting to hear news about her leukemia from her doctor. So the two of them go together, and Gabriel, after burning his hand at Monte Carlo, meets up with them. Liberty's eyes light up when she sees him, and she welcomes all of them to stay with her.
GOOD NEWS! Liberty's cancer seems to be in remission! YAY. I can be happy for her because I actually like her now! :-D
So the four of them go out to Al's to celebrate (after Liberty and Faith individually jizz over Gabriel's new sports car, to which Parker was trying his best not to throw up in his mouth the whole time :-P), and suddenly Gabriel is the best thing on two legs because he thinks maybe Liberty shouldn't eat too much grease or caffeine this soon off her chemo treatments, whereas Parker thought she should eat whatever she wanted to celebrate herself. Man, if looks could kill...Parker would have Gabriel six feet under and decaying. :-P
And Faith is re-developing her crush on Parker, methinks! She can tell he's all grr, argh about Liberty batting her eyelashes at Gabriel every two seconds, and she tells Parker that "he deserves better" than Liberty. Meaning herself, right? That's my guess.
You know...I know they're not real cousins...like, blood-related and all...but still. Her crushes on him kinda creep me out. They should consider each other family, right? So no crushing allowed. That would be like if Luke had a crush on Aaron or something. Yukky! :-P
So after Carly leaves Craig high and dry, she walks into the station to find Dusty, who tells her about Rocco, and then she sees Janet and Jack all snuggly in the interrogation room. Is everybody strapped in? 'Cause this wild ride is just gettin' WILDER by the second!
And I have to say, I love Viper!Carly. I love it when she freaks the hell out on everyone. Maura's so good at it; she actually kinda scares me. But it's so great to see. Especially when Carly's got merit. It's not as though she's freaking out over nothing. There's a whole lotta something for her to be upset about!
Oh, and Craig and Gabriel? Zzzzzzzzzzz. It was kinda funny when Gabriel burned his hand and Craig basically laughed in his face about it, though. HAHA! Sucks to be you, Gabe.
