I'd like to preface this entry by saying that NEKKID LUKE MAKES ME HAPPY. Oh yes he does.
:-D
I know that Van has said on many occasions that he's uncomfortable doing shirtless scenes, but for the fangirl life of me, I can't understand why. ;-) Boy's got a BITCHIN' body!
Ahem. Show now? Yes. :-P
Okay, so let's start with Luke and Reid.
They're in Luke's hotel room in Dallas going over stats and facts and whatnot, when Luke tries to impress upon Dr. Oliver that Annie was not just a number. She was a person, and Reid should refer to her as one. Then Luke tells him that acting a little more human and trying to appeal to the more emotional side of the Texas board will not make him any less of a surgeon.
Oh, that Luke. He's so smart.
So then they sit on the couch and Reid starts telling Luke about how Annie had a great smile. He said that he was always the one inflicting pain upon Annie - chemo, tests, surgery, all that - but she always greeted him with this great smile, and he missed it. (This scene was also doubly cute because for some reason Reid was clutching bags of snacks to his chest, and it made him seem like a little kid. LOL. Guess Reid can't go without his snack food, eh? :-)) But when Luke praises Reid about y'know...being human, Reid reverts right back to his normal, sarcastic self and Luke's left eyerolling. :-P
Luke also tells Reid that he needs to try calling him "Luke", because "Mr. Snyder" means Holden. :-) When Luke says, "You call Noah by his first name," Reid tries to explain it's a simple patient-doctor relationship, and when Luke asks about "us" - meaning Luke and Reid - and what they are, Reid can't give him an answer.
Guys, today's ep was really the first we've seen of Luke's feelings for Reid. I know...you don't want to hear me say it, but honestly...today was the first time I actually saw attraction in Luke's eyes.
Anyway, so Reid shows up the next morning at Luke's room so they can go to the hearing together, only Luke's not ready, and he's not expecting Reid right away. Which led to Luke opening his door in nothing but a towel, and Reid almost keeling over from all the hotness.
Oh, wait. That was me. I almost keeled over from all the hotness. But I'm telling you...Reid wasn't far behind. :-P
Anyway, so Luke lets Reid in and rushes to get dressed. Meaning that he runs back to the bathroom and carelessly flings his towel off behind him. So Reid's left in the room sweating into his cup of coffee while Luke's discarded towel taunts him from the floor.
AHAHAHAHA. Oh men. The littlest things get them all riled up. :-P
So finally Luke is all ready to go and Luke's giving Reid the last minute pep talk - AKA "Don't be an ass" - when YAY! Noah calls.
Noah and Doc Oliver chat about what-ifs for a minute (like, what if Dr. Oliver loses his medical license?), and then Reid hands the phone over to Luke, who did NOT want Noah to know he was there. He was practically making that "Cut! Cut!" slashing motion across his throat with big buggy eyes but Reid basically shoved the phone in his face and left him with no choice. Poor Luke.
So Luke babbles nervously on the phone with Noah ("We got naked in my hotel room--I mean! I helped Dr. Oliver with his testimony!"), who thanks him and basically says that he appreciates Luke putting his feelings aside to help the doctor. (Oh, Noah...if only you knew...feelings are being brought to the fore-front, not being pushed to the side...)
BUT YAY WE GOT TO SEE NOAH! I like Noah cameos! Even though the situation between the three of them is kinda sketchy right now. :-/
So after Luke and Noah hang up, Reid prepares to leave the room when Luke stops him to fix his lapel, and they share A Moment. Reid thanks Luke for helping him, too, especially since he knows that Luke doesn't care about him and is only doing all of this for Noah, but Luke says, "No...I do care," and that's pretty much where everything left off.
I'd like to point a few things out, though.
1) A place other than Oakdale. Hotel room. Towel. Boy comes in, towel drops, boy is affected by said towel (and by person underneath said towel). Sound familiar?
2) Fledgling attraction. Boy in suit. Boy #2 stops him to fix suit. Eye-sexing (which didn't go anywhere in today's situation...whew!). Anything here also sound familiar?
3) SPOILER ALERT! Or maybe I should call it a "spoiler" in quotes because Soap Opera Central (bane of my existence!) said that Luke and Reid were going to make on the smoochies today. Didn't happen. So moral of the story? SPOILERS CAN BE CRAP. So let's not rely on them too much for this storyline. XD
Also...I'm okay (ngggghhhhhhh I could be lying) with Luke and Reid going on their little adventure, whatever it's going to be (for now...my feelings may change at any moment), but I DON'T want to see any more similarities between Luke/Reid and Luke/Noah. I mean, yeah...the situations weren't exactly the same today, but I want my sacred Luke/Noah history to remain sacred and original. If the writers are going to bring about Luke/Reid, it better be by completely separate and unrelated means. No more towels, no more lapel fixing, NONE OF IT! It's too reminiscent of the boys. So try something different, writers. Otherwise you'll find yourselves on the business end of a Supreme Fangirl Hissyfit. It will not be pretty.
;-)
Anyway, it was good seeing Noah. Poor kid's got another thing comin' to him real soon, but it was nice seeing him on my screen. And he was honestly grateful to Luke about him helping Dr. Oliver. ♥
So, on to everyone else.
Molly's interactions with Silas Whitman were downright pathetic. I am SO very glad she tossed her drink in his face. He actually came to her at the Lakeview to see if they could get back together! After he tried to MURDER her! Oy gevalt, men are dumb. Of course, Molly let it slip that she's got another man in her life, and after she threw her drink at Silas and peaced out, he found her at Snyder Farm, where Holden took him by the front on his shirt and told him to get the hell out of his house. QUICK! Somebody get Holden an oar!!! :-D
Ugh. Stupid Silas Whitman. Now we're gonna have to deal with all his shenanigans on top of everyone else's!
And by that I mean Faith, Holden, and Lily.
Lily and Holden share a tender moment at the cabin in which they feed each other Fluff (mmm, marshmallow-y goodness!) in the middle of the night, and they get to talking about Faith. Faith, of course, is eavesdropping, and once she hears Lily say she's worried about Faith's safety (and the rest of the family's safety), Faith goes on the warpath and screeches something about, "I'm just a danger to everyone, aren't I?" to which I wanted to punch her in the mouth.
So then the three of them decide that the best way to "handle" this is to let Faith move to the farm with Holden. There she'll be monitored by Emma, Holden, and Molly, and she'll have daily chores to take care of as well. I'm not entirely against this idea - in fact, I think the whole chores thing will kinda help Faith in the long run - but now Faith's planning on pitting Molly and Lily against one another, because she senses feelings re-emerging between Holden and Lily. And honestly...she's not that far off. Unfortunately.
Good thing for now is that Holden seems like he's still very devoted to Molly. And maybe Molly can kick Faith in the arse a few times to get her back on the straight and narrow. But I'm expecting Faith to start meddling in everyone's lives, so be prepared! *kicks her in the shins*
Also, Emily let her fire rain down on Paul today. They all went back to bed after Meg apologized and things were intensely awkward, and when Paul tried to touch Emily in bed, she got all huffy and wouldn't let him. Then in the morning when Emma came to pick Meg up to take her back to Deerbrook, she asked Paul and Emily if anything had happened during the night. Emily went to explain things, but Paul cut her off with a, "Nope. Everything was fine!" which left Emily rightly steamed.
But then Paul went to talk to Meg while she was packing herself back up, and Emily let Emma in on the night's true events. Emma was not happy. But Paul also told Meg that he was in love with Emily and his marriage to her was very important to him, and Meg said she understood, though I don't trust her. I can't read Meg entirely right now, so I don't know if she was just yes-ing Paul to death or if she honestly just screwed up, but we'll have to keep an eye on her. Meg can be shady, too, when she wants! :-P
Then Meg shared a tearful goodbye with Eliza and the show left off with Emily cradling her while Emma led Meg away.
And guess what we get tomorrow? More Dusty/Janet/Jack/Carly. AND JANET'S FEELINGS FOR DUSTY MAY HAVE CHANGED. Oh, joy. *kicks a puppy* Dusty's also saving Rocco's worthless life from Dude With Gun Sent By Ralph Manzo, and Carly's letting Janet HAVE IT after she walks in on impending CarJack Sexytiems.
Anyone need a happy thought? NEKKID LUKE!
You're welcome. :-P
