And Everybody Wants What They Can't Have - Today's Recap, 3/17/10

Mar 17, 2010 15:57

Happy St. Patty's Day! My family is incredibly Irish, so today is one of my favourite holidays. :-)

Okay, so...let's break this episode down, shall we?

Lucinda wants Holden and Lily back together, but she really has no final say in the matter.
Lily wants Holden back, but Holden wants to be with Molly. (Good for him!)
Emily wants to be Eliza's mother/stepmother, but Paul wants her to back off a little bit.
And Reid wants Luke but thought he couldn't have him but then found out that (circumstantially) he could. Or that's my guess for now.

Sounds about right, right? :-P

Okay, so Holden/Lily/Molly.

Lucinda's trying her best to get Lily and Holden back together, but so far Holden will have none of it. He even confirmed in front of Lily and Lucinda today that Molly is with him, which makes her part of the family.

Molly finds out about Faith's little pot secret and tells her to tell Holden and Lily about it. If Faith doesn't, then Molly will. Of course, Faith doesn't. So Molly does. LOL.

So Faith had Holden and Lily drop her back off at school without knowing that she was suspended and somehow Faith managed to avoid them even like, stepping foot into her dorm room. She thinks she's sly, that Faith Snyder. Little does she know what she's in for, now that Mom and Dad are in on the truth.

Seriously, Faith...you shoulda just told your parents about the pot and taken your punishment. Now they have even more ammunition to blast you with when they find you. Ahh, the lessons you learn in life. :-P

But! OMG how cute were Natalie and Ethan at Holden's party! AGGHH the cuteness! They were so adorable, especially the big group hug with Holden. Hee! And I LOVE that the Snyders had a welcome home party for Holden. This should have happened last summer when Holden returned from Kentucky, so it is LONG overdue.

And honestly, guys...do you want to see Holden and Lily back together right now? I feel like Lily needs to take a step back and be without a man for a while. Her decisions concerning men haven't been the best lately, as they've caused nothing but trouble and heartache and misunderstanding. And she needs to stop being a jealous twelve-year-old every time she sets eyes on Molly. She's almost as bad as Faith! I can see where Faith gets her attitude.

And Lucinda today. I love Lucinda, and I loved her with the Snyder kids, and even when she was trying to set Faith straight, but I hate the fact that she and Molly breathe fire at each other every time they're in the same room. I wish Lucinda would respect Holden's wishes for now, and stop trying to threaten Molly all the time. Sooner or later, it's going to work, and Molly's going to peace out because of it. And that's not fair to Holden or Molly. If they split, it should be their own mutual decision, not because of someone else's influence.

Anyway, so now Holden and Lily know about Faith's antics at school, and I'm assuming next week is going to continue their quest to y'know, beat the hell out of her when they find her. :-)

So, let's go on to Luke. HAHAHAHAHA.

Okay, so, I dunno...I found his scenes with Reid today very funny. Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed their screen time, but that last scene, when Luke tries to shove Reid out the door, was exceptionally funny to me. Soap Central (bane of my existence!) had this little scene described as "Luke and Reid share a sexually intimate moment, which leaves them both shaken", but really...I didn't know that blatantly glaring at one another with hatred-filled eyes could be considered "sexual" or "intimate". For real. I know, Van can eye-sex with the best of them, but it was really more like they just glared at each other for a bit. HAHA. And neither one of them looked particularly shaken to me. LOL! I will watch again and re-evaluate, I promise. Maybe I missed something. Maybe I want to miss something. :-P

That being said, I really enjoyed everything else. I think it took Luke a little too long to break up the fight between the tall dude and Reid ('cause the dude was seriously like, kicking Reid's ribs in), but their respective scenes after that were good. Luke asks Reid to tell him what happened, Reid tells him to go piss up a rope, Reid takes his anger out on a poor nurse at the hospital, and then finds himself on Luke's doorstep, where he spills his guts and asks Luke to keep this story to himself.

So Reid operated on a little girl who had a brain tumor, and even though he gave her an extra year of life, she still died. She was six years old, and apparently Reid is still consumed with guilt over her death, because he just let her father kick the crap out of him. So Luke figures all this out and they start talking like normal human beings, until Luke tells him that he and Noah broke up and Reid's all, "What took him so long to break up with you? You smothered him like a son of a bitch!" and Luke was like, "IT WAS MY DECISION TO END THE RELATIONSHIP, ASSHOLE" and then came the shoving and the glaring. :-P Hahahahaha.

Gotta say though, that the moment Reid heard that Luke and Noah had split, his ears perked up and he started wagging his tail. LOL. Seriously.

So, I'm hoping more of this episode is going to continue into next week, because we were promised a Luke/Lucinda hurt/comfort scene that did not happen today. (Sorry, that's totally a spoiler...) I hope the show didn't decide to cut that completely, because I'd really like to see that. (Team LuLu FTW!) Especially since Luke didn't get to spend any time with Holden today. That's another thing I'd really like to see! Father-son bonding time! Luke needs to be a part of the Snyders again; he's been so isolated lately.

So NutMeg was let out of her cell for a bit today! She ran into Emily and Paul in Old Town and got to spend some time with Eliza. Good for Meg, bad for Emily. Since Emily has stepped in as "mother" to Eliza at Meg's request, she's finding it hard to take a step back with Meg in the picture. I don't blame her. And Emily is fabulous with Eliza (who is so damn cute I could die!). Paul was trying to tell Emily to keep in mind that Meg is still Eliza's mother, but he was seriously digging himself into a hole. Emily started getting upset (rightfully so, since she is Eliza's stepmom) and Paul had to backpedal at the speed of light. I have a feeling, though, that this struggle is far from over. And I actually kinda wish that Eliza was Emily's, because they're so cute with one another and Meg is still not all together. (Though Meg did ask if she could set up an overnight visit with Eliza. The answer on that from Deerbrook is pending.) We shall wait and see where that goes!

:-)

I'm sad that we have to wait till next week for more show. :-(

Oh, well. I'll just drink a lot of Guinesses tonight and then I'll be too tipsy to be upset! LOL.

Happy...err...Wednesday, everyone! :-D
