Carly: Teehee! I Know Something You Don't Know! - Today's Recap, 2/19/10
Wanna start with previews, because I am SO FRICKING EXCITED to see what happens with the Damian/Holden storyline next week!
OMG. Luke FLAT OUT ASKS Holden if he killed Damian. Oh, the angst! The drama! The suspense! :-D I cannot wait! There's more where that came from, so the spoilers tell me. :-)
And Lily thinks that with Damian being "dead", she and Luke can MOVE ON? Wow...NO ONE is paying attention to Luke, clearly. I don't think Damian being dead is going to make it easier for Luke to move on. Not after everything that transpired between the two of them this past year. If anything, Damian's death would make it much, much worse.
Please please please let Luke flip his lid. Please, writers. I wanna see him fall apart BIG TIME, because he needs to. I would have let everyone HAVE IT by now, if I were him, and I know that Van would KILL IT!

Anyway. Today's show.
I admit, I liked Liberty today, I really did. Though, remember Dusty's "I'm allergic to morons" statement from yesterday? Yeah. Liberty's sitting at Java going, "I'm sweating and freezing at the same time...I wonder why that is?" Uh...DUH, Liberty. Any idiot knows that if you're freezing and sweating at the same time, YOU HAVE A FEVER. And fevers usually equal sickness. Common sense, thy name is NOT Liberty Ciccone.
But I was really okay with her with everything else. I thought she jumped the gun a little when she let "Pop" have it for not being there for Janet when she first got pregnant, but it's understandable. I'd do the same thing for my mom, though not right off the bat like Liberty did.
And CLICHE! "Pop" can't be Liberty's donor because of his health? Lame. You know Janet's gonna beg him to come back and put his life on the line for Liberty. This is a soap, after all! (Hey, that could be a whole other dramatic storyline!)
But Liberty and Parker, snuggling? Yes. Totally cute. Love them together. And I love that Jack winked at Parker before he left Liberty's hospital room. Oh, Jack. You're such a good dad. You may have surpassed Holden on my Best Dads in the Universe List for the moment, because Holden's making me a little nuts. :-)
And Janet and Dusty! You two are making me crazy as well! "I don't know why this keeps happening," Janet says to him. Uh...it could be because you're ATTRACTED to him! Maybe because you two have FEELINGS for each other? Because Dusty is wonderful and good-looking and has taken care of you better than anyone these past couple months? Just a shot in the dark, really...
And now Janet proposes the idea of a baby to Jack, yet again! Has she forgotten the last time she said something like this to Jack? He practically ran for the hills. And he felt trapped, which is NEVER a good thing when there's a baby concerned. (Ten bucks says Janet ends up pregnant with Dusty's kid! Who's with me on this one?)
So, there were two VERY cute scenes in today's episode: Carly and Molly, and Molly and Dusty.
I love how Carly came in to WOAK and tried getting her coffee from a prop coffeemaker. HAHAHA. That was cute. And then there was girl-talk with Molly about how Carly wants to tell Jack that Janet was making on the kissy-face with Dusty. As I predicted, Molly tried talking Carly out of it, and as we all assumed she would, Carly did not listen. LOL.
Then Molly's scene with Dusty at the Lakeview! OMG LOVED. So SO cute! And even though Molly didn't get direct confirmation, she did tell Dusty to "go for it". As in, go for Janet. Hehe! Carly and Molly working in tandem here. Though, I still think that Dusty and Carly should team up and get what they want. Now they could enlist Molly's help, too!
Molly's just all up in everybody's business, isn't she? :-P She's got her fingers in the Damian thing with Lily, she confessed to Luke before when he asked her about Damian, she knows Holden's secrets, she's got an in with Dusty, and Carly's confiding in her left and right! Wow. I'm kinda impressed! Haha.
And err...I dunno if it's just me, but the chemistry between Janet and her father just wasn't working. I didn't really feel like it was real. I also kinda feel like they're stretching the whole "Italian family" thing a little too far. *Shrug* I dunno. Might just be me, but it wasn't believable enough for my taste.
No worries. Still a good episode. And I can't wait for more Damian/Holden/WTH happened?! storyline! Ooooh. C'mon, writers...don't let us down. Give the people what they want! ;-)
