I'd just like to preface this recap by saying that I am seriously going to kick Meg's butt through her skull.
And now, BOYS!
OH MY GOD. OH MY GOD, YOU GUYS! DID YOU SEE JAKE TODAY?! HOLY SHIT ON A STICK!!
My heart is breaking for poor Noah. Oh my God. This is so devastating for him, and Jake played it so well!! I am continually amazed at how much Jake makes me love Noah.
I absolutely LOVED how Noah got up to throw Luke out and instead Luke caught him and said, "Tough. I'm not leaving." Oh my God. I think my fangirl heart exploded into a thousand pieces at that part. Oh, yeah, and TEARS. TEARS RUNNING DOWN NOAH'S FACE. How do I even have a heart at this point, after this episode today?! Oh my God. I can't even think straight.
When Noah yelled at Damian for making Luke "like him", I almost fell off the couch. That's so horribly, horribly sad. One, because it means that Noah has noticed a change in Luke and obviously doesn't like it, and two, because it means that Noah still loves his sweet adorable Luke like crazy and wants him back.
Oh my God. I loved the boys' interaction today. Luke reaching out to help Noah whenever he could. That opening clip when Noah didn't want him to leave when the doctor came in. Them holding hands. AGGHHHH. Luke is being like, the sweetest thing on the planet right now and I'm LOVING IT. LOVING. IT. Oh my God. And when he told Noah not to blame anyone but him? WAHHH, Luke. T_T
Don't worry, Noah! It'll get better! Blind people can lead very happy lives. And I know he doesn't see it now (no pun intended), but one day Noah will be thankful that this accident happened after he'd already established himself as one of the Snyders. You know what I mean? This could be so much harder on him, especially if he truly was alone, but he's got someone who loves him and a family that wants to take care of him. He's lucky, considering the circumstances. And they'll help him get stronger.
Okay, I think that's as much coherency as we're going to get with me and the boys right now. My brain is seriously scrambled. I want to hug the shit out of Jake, for putting in such an awesomely believable and heart-wrenching performance today.
And I guess the boys' apartment is going bye-bye now, huh? Sounds like Lily is preparing to have the boys home after Noah gets released. Figures. TPTB need to grow some balls. But I guess we'll see!
Man, I can't wait to re-watch today's scenes. Good God. My heart is twisted into knots! :-)
All right, now on to the rest of the episode. Honestly, you guys, I am going to run Meg over with a truck. If there's anyone else on the show who deserves to be punched in the nose a la Luke vs. Mason, it's Meg. Damian flat-out told her he wanted to put Luke and Noah first, and that he and Lily needed to be a united front for Noah in order to help him get better, and she STILL kept pushing him to tell Lily about with-holding the evidence from Holden's accident. Like, seriously, Meg...can you think about someone other than yourself for five seconds?! I know what Damian did was wrong, and YES, I want him to tell the truth, too, but for now...I'm okay with him putting off all his own bullshit so that he can help take care of Noah and Luke. Geez. Get over yourself! And all you wanted to do was get into Damian's pants?! Really? Way to show your family support. Sheesh!!
And Damian, WTF ARE YOU DOING?! Remember Lily? YOUR WIFE? Yeah, being married to Lily means that you don't get to sleep with Meg anymore! UGH. I like you, but I'm about to throw you in front of the truck with Meg. Really, I am.
And Holden. Holden was on the rampage today! Holy cow. Holden Snyder's about to choke a bitch, for reals. I don't blame him. I think maybe he was letting his emotions get the best of him, especially since he hasn't talked to the kids yet to see how they feel about Damian moving in, but I still can't blame him for how he feels towards Damian. Especially with Noah's remark about Luke becoming more like Damian today. Obviously, Damian is rubbing off on the people around him (in more ways than one, in some cases. *GAG*). But seriously. I almost expected Holden to bust out of his shirt Hulk-style and go beat himself up some Papa Grimaldi. Hey, he's punched Damian out twice before; it could totally happen! :-)
Margo and Katie today were especially cute together. I love Margo's skepticism about the seance. But I also REALLY loved how Margo talked about Casey, her step-father. I know it's a heartbreaking story, but I absolutely LOVE that part of Margo's background. And I love that it's capped off with the fact that Margo named Casey (her son) after Casey (her step-father). Hee.
And this thing with Katie and Brad...I like it, but with the chair-kicking today, it was eerily too reminiscent of Ghost. I half-expect Brad to wander down into a subway station to find the ghost who can show him how to make physical contact now. Remember that part, in the movie? That dude, the ghost who teaches Patrick Swayze how to make contact, scared the shit out of me when I was little! For serious.
But apparently Brad's going to learn. Now that there's someone on Henry's tail, Brad's gonna come to Henry's rescue and then everyone's going to believe that Brad is really still here. The question is: WHY is he still here? C'mon, writers, we wanna know. Stop prolonging this storyline and let poor Katie move on in peace.
All right. I think that's all I got for today! Brain is still fried. :-) I say again: I can't wait to re-watch the Nuke bits today! :-) Jake, in case you're wondering, YOU'RE AWESOME! Let the haters know they can tell you how your ass tastes. :-)
