And Everything Gets a Little Too Personal - Today's Recap, 11/4/09

Okay...do I start off with the things I did like or the things that I didn't like?

Did like:

OMG that fricking kiss that Noah gave Luke when he showed up on set. It was the perfect combination of "I miss you, I love you" sweet adorableness and Noah was so damn happy to see that Luke came! And then Luke was equally as adorable when he assured Noah that he was going to do great and that he wouldn't have missed the shoot for all the world. AWWWWWW!

Also, on a personal sidenote (which seems to fit, considering everything today had to do with personal things), Noah's film set really reminded me of college. Made me miss it a bit. T_T I really enjoyed crewing on my classmates' films, and we shot a lot of stuff inside like Noah was shooting today. We weren't in a hotel, of course, but it was a similar setting nonetheless. Oh, college! How I miss thee.

Also, I'm so glad we're getting to see some of Noah's film! God. After months and months, we finally see a snapshot of what it's going to be about.

Loved the Luke and Holden interaction today. I just adore how frank and open they are with each other. Even if they're screaming at one another, you know they're being honest and there's nothing else going on behind the scenes. This fangirl is left swooning. :-)

And finally! Lily tells Holden that she still loves him. Geez, girl. Took you long enough! Even though he's still going to get your marriage annulled, at least you were finally honest with him and let him know that you still love him and want to be with him! Yeah!

And even Damian today...he wasn't bad, either. When he went to Lily, he was less *facepalm* than I thought he was going to be. Truly. He said he would be fine with whatever decision she made, and I believed it. As opposed to a couple episodes ago when he just kept pushing himself at her every chance he got. And anyway, even if Lily annulled her marriage to Damian, he knows he would always be in her life somehow, because of Luke. Luke is the undeniable factor in all of this. Which, unfortunately, doesn't work very well for Holden, and what he wants from Lily.

Carly today was really sweet, too. I like that she was so sweet and honest with Rosanna and Craig (even if they sort of don't deserve it right now) and I love how excited she got over Sage coming home. And Sage! It's been a while since we've seen her. Girl talk on the couch (even though it turned into talk more about Rosanna and Craig, lol) was cute. And it was nice to see Carly sticking to her meetings! I don't think I could take another round of Drunk!Carly. I had enough of that storyline when it aired. :-)

Okay, didn't like:

Damian's advice to Luke. Did you see how Luke's eyes started to gleam the second Damian said he had to fight for what he wants? First of all, Luke just walked out on Noah's shoot. I understand he's upset about the content and I totally see why it would hurt his feelings, but 1) Noah was not intentionally trying to hurt him and 2) Luke ran off without saying anything to Noah! If you're hurt and you think your boyfriend is partially responsible, the best thing to do is talk to him about it, Luke! Noah has no idea right now why Luke sudddenly disappeared, which gives him more ammunition to be upset with Luke when they finally do talk. If Luke had stuck around and explained how he was feeling to Noah, there'd be a better chance of Noah being more sympathetic to his feelings. I hope the boys get to talk before Luke goes all Grimaldi on Mason's ass!

And speaking of him...MASON KISSES = DO NOT WANT! :-) I say this purely as a Nuke fangirl, but as a soap fangirl, I'm totally LOVING IT! Maybe this was why Forbes was all, "ATWT is so weird when it comes to touching" in that interview that everyone hated. :-) They probably had to make sure that Mason kissing Noah's forehead wouldn't make somebody's 89-year-old grandmother explode.

BUT! Still. Looking at it from strictly a student-teacher view, Mason had no place kissing Noah. If everything else he has done in the past didn't cross the line, this totally did. I'm surprised Noah didn't haul back and deck him. If one of my film professors had done that to me (ew *shudder*...I had a couple that I just don't want to imagine that scenario with), I would have totally flipped my shit.

But anyway, when has Mason ever been just strictly a professor? Never. He's been bending the rules ever since he stepped foot in Oakdale. And this is a soap, after all. And I'm fricking loving it!

Oh, yes...and Luke? I love you, sweetie, but don't go making assumptions before you have the facts! You don't know for sure that Mason had ANY influence on the content of Noah's film! Noah could have written that scene himself! And Mason could have not liked it, but Noah insisted on keeping it anyway! Or something like that. TALK TO YOUR BOYFRIEND BEFORE YOU DO SOMETHING RASH! Please?

I'm also upset with Parker in today's episode. I can understand that he wants his mother to know the truth, and the whole family's been through the wringer with Brad's death and all, but really...he morphed into Liberty today. I'm sure he was happy to see his mom, but he just wanted to bring the house down on Carly, Craig, and Rosanna. He should just talk to Craig and Rosanna and push for them to tell Carly the truth!

Also, Rosanna kinda ticked me off, too. She's all in love with Craig and everything, but the minute she gets suspicious about something, she turns into a 12-year-old girl. I'm surprised she didn't stomp her foot and cross her arms when she went to see Craig in his hotel room. "You don't love me anymore! Humph!" Oh geez, Rosanna. Hehe.

And I have to say this....please don't hate me. I like Carly, I do. Honestly, I enjoy her character a lot. But every time there's an episode with both she and Nuke on it, Nuke gets put on the back burner and it ticks me off. It could just be that I'm chomping at the bit to see the boys on my screen again (and maybe even if they dedicated an entire episode to the boys, I still wouldn't think it was enough air-time for them), but I wanted MORE Nuke. I understand that they wanted to ease Carly back into her life and we all want to see how she starts re-adjusting and what she learned when she was in rehab. It's just that when it comes to Carly vs. Nuke air-time, Carly always wins. It would be better if they kept Carly on one day and Nuke on another.

Anyway, can't end on a downer! I enjoyed today's episode so very much. Seeing Noah on my screen first-thing just really made my day. And now the storyline begins! Are you guys ready for things to get shitty for the boys? Bring on the drama! :-D (But also bring on the hurt/comfort and the kisses and the love. ♥)

Oh, and Meg today? *headdesk* First the stunt with Damian in the hospital room, and then her scene with Officer Grady. (Which, yay! btw. I was afraid he was going to be stuck in the trunk of that car for the rest of eternity.) Meg keeps trying to deny that she's FRIGGING PSYCHOTIC but it's hardly unnoticeable. What a nut! :-D
