Day three, a book/ebook/fanfic

I have three books to recommend. ^_^

First, I'd like to start with Mitch Albom's For One More Day. Good Lord, this damn book. I should preface and say that I'm very close to my mother - we're practically twins - and she's always been one of my best friends. So this book by Mitch Albom totally took my heart out of my ( Read more... )

I love Mitch's work, too! I remember being completely blown away by The Five People You Meet in Heaven. It was the first book of his I read, and I immediately loved his writing style and the story.

Just be prepared and have a big box of tissues with you when you read For One More Day. For serious, I was crying reading it on the train. :-( It's so good, though. I really like that one. :-)

The Five People You Meet in Heaven was actually the second book of his that I bought. Have you seen the movie based on that book? I saw that on Hallmark, I think. I thought it didn't do the book much justice.

The first book of his that I read was Tuesdays with Morrie, which I randomly picked up from the public library near my place. It was SO GOOD and SAD. And I knew I just had to own it. There's a movie on that too and it was actually pretty good.

Oh, thanks for the warning! Somehow it doesn't surprise me since I have learned to equate Mitch Albom with tears. *hugs*

I didn't see the Hallmark movie for The Five People You Meet in Heaven. I remember it being advertised on TV, but at the time I hadn't read the book, so I didn't know what all the fuss was about. I most likely will stay away from it since you didn't like it too much. :-)

And YES! Tuesdays With Morrie. I have that one, too. SO SAD, SO GOOD. Loved it. It kinda scared the crap outta me, too. Such a scary, awful disease! But great book. Honestly. Love it.

And Mitch DEFINITELY = tears. Damn him! :-) Hehe.

Seeing as I'm a total theatre geek and an avid reader, I was looking for something to read on my Sony Reader, so I'm going to give Anthony Rapp a go. I'll let you know how i liked it when I'm done. =)

I finished this about a week ago, but things got busy. =)

It was a good read. Interesting to see the behind the scenes stuff in the show and how, with everything going wrong in his life, he still managed to get himself on the stage and give a great performance. Also made me put on my rent soundtrack to play it while I was reading. =)

I'm reading Mitch Albom's Have a Little Faith right now. Want me to let you know how it was?

Hee! Yay! I'm glad you enjoyed Anthony's book. I don't know if it was just my mindset at the time or what, but I totally fell in love with it. And hearing about all the backstage stuff and the rehearsals was great, I totally agree! And the pics. Normally I think it's kinda cheesy to have pics in books, but I love the pics in his book. It brought the "story" more to life. :-)

Ooh, yes, please let me know about Mitch's book, too! I haven't read that one yet! :-) Thanks!
