Went to see Pitch Perfect last night, and I had really low expectations for it, because it seemed like another one of those silly but not-funny college-themed films, and I was pleasantly surprised!
I mean, yes, it is a silly college-themed film (where it seems like everyone only does acapella - you know those fics you sometimes read, say like Klaine or LuRe or Nuke, where everyone in the fic is gay? That's kinda how the film was, just with acapella :P), but it was really entertaining! And Rebel Wilson was hilarious...I really liked her character and she brought a lot of laughs.
Also, Anna Kendrick is absolutely becoming one of my favourite actresses. I was first introduced to her through Twilight (eep, don't judge me too hard! :P), but she played Jessica, who's kind of a bitch, so. :P I really started loving her when I watched 50/50, which is an EXCELLENT movie and you all should go see it. :) Now Anna is just one of my faves, hands-down. :D
And the music was awesome! The mashups that all the groups sang were really cool - so cool, in fact, that I'm considering buying the soundtrack!
Go see it. It's fun. It's kinda like Glee but way less infuriating (and it has continuity!). Plus Skylar Astin is nice to look at. :P
