The Lives of Two People DO TOO Amount to a Hill of Beans - Today's Recap, 9/16/10

To my sis Honey:

Geez. Tell me how you REALLY feel about the Nuke kiss! You weren't articulate enough; I didn't understand where you were coming from. :-P "Mr. and Mrs. Crap-in-the-Head" FTW. I'm really glad my nickname stuck! HA. Can we write a strongly-worded letter and address them like that?

Also, dude. I was totally going to rag on you for hating on Reid, but then you had to go and write that really sweet paragraph about the two of us being BFFs now because of the show. Way to kill my Must Protect Reid mojo! :-P

And...to the LuRe/Reid bashers, I say: HATERS TO THE LEFT. That's right, I stole your phrase, because it goes both ways. :-P You call me a traitor because I "jumped ship", and I call you a deserter because you totally slunk out of the show's vicinity when nobody was looking. So...we're even. :-) Even steven even. :-P

But I'd like to make it clear that at NO point did I come to hate Nuke or Noah. Absolutely not. I will never hate Nuke, and I will never hate Noah. Nuke holds a very special place in my heart to this very day. Just because I happen to think that Reid was a better match for Luke does not mean that I suddenly despise Nuke or Nuke's history. I am first and foremost a Luke girl, and I've been this way since day one. I've always wanted what's best for him, regardless of what was going on in his crazy life. But Nuke is still very special to me, and I love Noah, and I absolutely adore Jake. Even you, Honey, can back me up on that! We spent like, an extra half hour at the Luncheon this year just standing around watching Jake take pics with people, because I couldn't tear my eyes off him. I'm sure nobody will blame me for that. :-) (He was just being so damn adorable with everyone, including Eric! Sighhhhh.:-))

Anyway, sis. I love how alike and yet opposite we are. It's so refreshing and...sometimes irritating! :-P

Love ya, betch. :-) BFFs from now till FOREVER! Reid or no Reid. Mason or no Mason. Reg or no Reg. Blackie or no Blackie. (Yeah, I'm just choosing random people now.) No sock or no shoe. No hair or no haircut. (Now I'm just making shit up.) :-D I know you get me.

PS - Sorry 'bout all the LuRe f-listy stuff. I rather enjoy it, though. ;-)

And now, for the recap of the next installment of what my sister so aptly named As the World Turns Around Reid Oliver (I completely love that title, btw...because I know Honey said it in disgust, but it totes made me giggle):

Okay, I admit, I haven't watched the last two episodes. I watched Monday and all the lovey-dovey happy fluff love stuff pissed me off, so I boycotted Tuesday and Wednesday. But of course, today I wanted to watch. And tomorrow I will, too. (And I'll probably end up watching Tuesday's and Wednesday's eps, too...)

Anyway.

Janet now holds the number two spot for Most Unbelievable and Completely Ridiculous ATWT Births. She's only behind Katie, whose ability to give birth with her stockings still on will probably hold the number one spot forever.

Lily's hair looked terrible in this episode. Shallow, I know. But she had wispys and fly-aways all over the place. Hairdresser!fail. But ZOMG I CAN'T TAKE HOLDEN CRYING! Dear Lord. Actually, that wasn't Holden crying...that was Jon. Oh, Jon. What a great scene between Lily and Holden. Kissies! WHEE!

And OF COURSE Dusty's the father of Janet's baby! DUH. We all knew this back, when? January? But I'm happy for him. :-) Also, DUSTY FREAKING DONOVAN JUST DELIVERED A FRICKEN BABY ON A BED! This man does not get more badass. He rules.

I heart Lucinda and John. Even if John sticks his nose in where he shouldn't. :-P

HOLY SHIT Van looked SO DAMN HOT in this episode. I want him to LIVE in that shirt! God. The scene where Luke was trying to get Noah "fired" was so freaking adorable. Loved it. And I loved how Noah was willing to sacrifice his plans and take care of Luke. ♥ Noah, I have missed you. Thank you for taking care of Luke. Whether he admits it or not, he needs it. Even if it's just for a little while. ♥ And I know I'm probably in the minority (see my current "ship jumper" status, LOL), but I really liked Luke and Noah's parting. I thought it was poignant and quaint. They still care about each other, and Luke has an open invitation to come visit Noah whenever he wants.

Poor Jack, about Janet's baby. :-( But I'm happy for him, 'cause dude. He and Carly just got married. I'm thinking this time is going to be the one that sticks. :-) It's all good. And HELLO, Carly's pregnant. Yeah, those two kids...they're gonna be just fine. :-)

And tomorrow's it! The last episode ever. Sigh. Despite all my grumblings as of late, and the fact that I HATE Luke's ending with all of my heart and soul and will never forgive Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum (that's CG and JP, respectively) for coming up with this end for us all, I will miss this show very much. It's been a HUGE part of my life for a long while now, and I will miss escaping into it every day.

But! I'm not leaving fandom. Hells to the no. I'm still gonna be around...reading, writing, laughing, and spending time with you fine people. :-) YAY!
