As I predicted, I did this kind of cry-laugh-scream combo of pain/disbelief/anger when I saw this. Reid's beat-up face alone is going to haunt my dreams for the next month. And so is the fact that even on his deathbed, Reid is still trying to take care of other less deserving piles of shit people.

If I haven't said it already...EFF YOU, ATWT. THANKS FOR THE SHITTY ENDING; IT IS NOT APPRECIATED IN ANY CAPACITY.

Except maybe in the fact that this ending gets to show us how goddamn awesome Van and Eric are at their jobs and with their characters. If they weren't so awesome, then this ending wouldn't mean diddley-squat to any of us and it would be downright laughable.

BUT HEY, WE ALREADY KNEW THE TWO OF THEM WERE AWESOME. SO THANKS AGAIN, ATWT. THANKS FOR KICKING ME IN THE FACE WITH YOUR "TRAGIC, HEROIC" ENDING.

TAKE YOUR ENDING AND SHOVE IT. As far as I'm concerned, CG and JP can sit on it and twirl.

And now I get to spend the next two weeks crying my eyes out because a character I love dies for no reason, and my absolute favourite character on this show gets to mourn his death and somehow that's not supposed to screw with us all.

Sigh.

Thank God we have communities and fanfictions written by smart, lovely, wonderfully dedicated and open-minded people who can serve as our therapists when they fix all this blatant stupidity that we were all expected to love and cherish.
