I was totally wrong about Katie last episode - I thought that she knew that Vienna hadn't told Henry the truth, but that wasn't the case. Katie didn't know, hence why she and Chris spent most of today's episode wondering how Henry could be so cool with everything during the ceremony

I agree that this ep was more filler and really didn't move the story forward, but I enjoyed it nonetheless.

And yeah, I can see where you're coming from in that it crossed the line from being amusing to a little campy.

In my eyes, Vienna has always been this way; it's just now they're showing it in the extreme. Yes she loves Henry, but I feel she's always been very selfish in that love. Fans hate on Katie because Henry was in love with her for a long time but she never loved him back in "that" way and has used his feelings for her to take advantage of him sometimes. But Vienna has always made her and Henry's relationship more about her. She never takes into consideration what Henry really wants and feels. She doesn't care that Henry's not ready to be a father yet; she just wants a baby so badly that she'll do anything to get it. And that really makes her no better than Katie IMO.

Out of all the on-screen relationships Henry has had, I think Barbara is the only one who doesn't take advantage of Henry & actually considers his feelings & needs. She was there for him after the Ralph fiasco, and he was there for her when she thought her cancer had returned. It's a nice give-and-take relationship.

But I do agree with you in that it would have been much more soapy had Vienna really been pregnant w/ Henry's child and Henry having to really be torn between his feelings for Barbara and his feelings of obligation to Vienna and the baby.

I agree with you on Vienna. I've only seen clips of her here and there from back in the day, but I do feel like her relationship with Henry has always been about her.

I also only know snippets of Katie's history with Henry, but I like her miles and miles more than I like Vienna. Yeah, Katie's had her fair share of screw-ups and secrets along the way, but I think she's on her way to redeeming herself. (Or at least I hope she is!) Vienna is just deplorable right now.

And YES on Babs and Henry! Everything you stated is exactly why I love them together. They consider one another and truly want to see the other one happy. They support each other and have had some really fun times. :-) ♥
