Idiots Everywhere - Today's Mini Recap, 6/28/10
So I accidentally spoiled myself over the weekend for Paul's plan of letting Meg reveal herself, so today's episode did not come as a shock for me. I think it was really awesome of Paul not to be fooled by Meg, but he didn't really make his marriage situation any better, did he? :-/ Especially since he kind of knew that Meg was going to pull the gun from his safe and try to use it on Emily. That's so not cool! I know Paul was coming from a good place (sort of), but Emily thought she was going to die. She honestly and truly thought that Meg was going to kill her. So basically Emily and Paul's marriage is right back to where it was when Paul started accusing Emily of drugging Meg! :-P (PS - I could have sworn that the gun Meg had was different from the one in Paul's safe. Oh, well.)
As for Meg, I had initially thought that she had surpassed Damian with this latest stunt of hers, but the fact that she's been relying on drugs makes me waver in that line of thought. If this had been Damian, he most likely would have been stone-cold sober throughout the whole thing. So...sorry, Meg! Nice try, but still no banana. :-P You're a good person deep down there somewhere! (Not to say that Damian isn't...you just might have to reach a little deeper down for him! :-P)
And now, Katie. Oh, Katie.
So, she covers for Vienna with this whole baby thing, which in the process is perpetuating Vienna's lie to Henry, then she ropes Chris into the whole ordeal by begging him to falsify Vienna's medical records (at the risk of his medical license), and then, after she finds out that Casey has been involved in this thing all along and desperately wants to know the paternity of the "baby", she offers Chris sex in exchange for his silence, because Chris, being the morally-sound person that he is, wants to blow Vienna out of the water by telling Henry (and thereby by default, Casey) the truth.
So Katie offers SEXUAL FAVORS to a guy whose morals couldn't be any more intact if he TRIED. How's that for insulting?! Also...WHY WHY WHY does Katie continue to help Vienna? Vienna's main reason why she's lying about being pregnant is because she "doesn't want to lose Henry". First of all, how pathetic can you be, and second of all, conjuring up an enormous lie such as this one will only serve to push Henry further away once he learns the truth. It ain't rocket science, my dear Vienna!
PS - You've already lost Henry. If his scenes with Barbara today were ANY indication, Henry is already GONE. Move on!
And speaking of them, I LOVE Henry and Barbara to death, but I seriously want to knock their heads together. JUST BE WITH ONE ANOTHER, DAMMIT. But it's okay...I will patiently wait for Vienna to self-destruct and then I will squee with utmost joy when Henry goes a-runnin' back to his lady love, Barbara! *hopes*
Also...Casey and Ali FTW. I wish Casey would believe Ali now, since she told him that she believes Vienna is telling the truth about her "baby", but I really don't think he's going to. Poor Casey. He's getting dragged through the mud for absolutely no reason. :-(
But today's episode was fun, no doubt! And we got a Benry kiss! WHOO! And Paul and Henry are really cute as brothers. Love 'em! :-D
