New and Improved NutMeg Is Now An Extra 10% Nuttier - Today's Recap, 6/1/10
First: Happy birthday to Jake! It's funny for me to think that he's actually a year younger than me, but alas...'tis true. :-) But I still got fifteen days to go till my next age change! ;-)
This triangle with Emily, Paul, and Meg has me all twisted around and I don't know who to root for. I guess maybe I'm on Paul's side, because I like how he's been trying his best to help Meg, and I liked how he gave Emily hell after Meg flipped out on her. If Emily isn't drugging Meg, then I do think she honestly wants Meg to get well, but she's waaaaay too attached to Eliza regardless. She's not in step-mom territory. She's in grab-the-kid-and-run-before-they-realize-what-I'm-doing territory. And she's about a hair away from doing just that. Hopefully Barbara and Meg can get down to the bottom of it all before Emily goes off the deep end herself and steals Eliza away in the middle of the night. :-P Hey, both Paul and Meg have done it...why not Emily too? :-P
So Barbara talked earlier with Henry (more on him later), and he mentioned something about, "Don't go drugging her tea" (I think he was referencing Emily...can't remember), and the light bulb goes off over Barbara's head. She takes off for the hospital to visit Meg, where she asks the doctor to run a toxicology report on Meg. Sooo...we will find out what happens with that! It's kinda nice to see Babs and NutMeg working together. :-)
Also...freaking Eliza is so damn adorable. I love how she's always reaching for Paul. This poor kid gets shuffled around more times than I can count in one episode, but she's always reaching for Paul when he goes to pick her up anyway. Too damn cute. :-D
So Henry tells Barbara that he admitted to Vienna that he has feelings for Barbara...deep, caring feelings. Hee! Initially Barbara was telling him to let her go, but I'm pretty sure that's not going to happen now. I really liked the Benry scenes in Java today. Barbara stood up for herself, Henry was honest, and together they were sweet. Especially when Barbara told him he was going to be a good father after she watched him interact with Eliza. HEE!
Oh please, show...Benry in the end. Please. They need to be together before the show ends!
Especially since Vienna should be run over with a truck right about now. She's hopping and skipping along with Henry in Old Town, singing about how merrily life is floating by, what with their wedding and baby on the horizon, but SHE'S STILL NOT PREGNANT. Oh yeah...and HENRY'S IN LOVE WITH BARBARA. And he's completely overwhelmed about being a father (for no reason).
Also...I hope Casey blows Vienna out of the water. He confronted her today, and told her he would keep quiet if she answered him honestly, but she just made up this cockamamie story about how she didn't want him snooping around in her business and that's why she lied about Dr. Gravid. Then she goes hyperventilating to Katie about how she wants Henry soooo badly but isn't pregnant and doesn't know what to do.
I'd know what to do if I were Katie: give that girl a swift kick in the ass!
Of course, I'm fairly certain Katie is not going to do that. For whatever reason, Katie seems to take Vienna's side before anyone else's, so I'm sure she's going to get twisted up into this whole thing.
And Katie's got enough on her plate, what with a half-drugged, half-drunk Chris on her hands. So Chris ends up sleeping the night away in her bed (while she slept in Reid's room LOL. Oh, how I wish he had caught her in there...that scene would've been great...and maybe we could have gotten some love-gossip going on!) and he decides he's going to wash down some more pills for his back with a couple beers. Which led to a very funny scene in which Drunk!Chris serenaded Katie in her living room while trying to dance with her. Katie, all the while, just kinda looked at him like o_O. She couldn't get out of his arms fast enough, and she tore off for work without even looking back. :-P
And there she shared a scene with Nancy. Oh, Helen. :-( But their scene was very poignant, because they talked about losing their husbands and how it will most likely take Katie a long while before she's ready to put herself out there again. Wonderful scene in which Katie talked about how Jacob is starting to resemble Brad. :-(
And then half-drugged, half-drunk Chris drags Ali into Katie's bed with him and starts swooning over how much he loves her. Except that the "her" that he loves isn't Ali, it's Katie! Ali sits there with an "Urgh" kinda face and just lets him ramble to his heart's content. :-P Poor Ali. So I guess that honeymoon's over! :-P
Btw, Drunk!Chris FTW. I totally enjoyed him. So cute, and so funny. XD
So now Henry's gone to Yo's (I think it was Yo's...) and there's Casey, sharing his bowl of bar nuts. Uh-oh. :-) I say again: I REALLY hope Casey blows Vienna out of the water. I'm sick of her charade!
I apologize for the quickie recap today...I am drop-dead tired and my brain hasn't been working all day. :-P Previews for tomorrow have Lily and Holden, Molly and Silas *twitch*, more Henry/Vienna/Casey, and Ali blurting to Katie how Chris feels about her. Should be good! :-D
And...I'm off to bed. :-P I could seriously go to bed right now and not wake up till I have to tomorrow morning. :-D
