Gabriel, Gabriel, Gabriel - Today's Recap, 5/14/10
Man, this kid is barely even on the show right now, but everything is always about him! Grr.
But! I am happy to report that we have FINALLY gotten somewhere, plot-wise. Whew!
So Jack hijacks Parker's baseball practice (PS - they practice in jeans? O_o) to bring him to Monte Carlo so Parker can "help" Jack figure out what the hell went on the day of the fire. Of course, it's really a set up, because Jack's basically got it figured out that Parker had something to do with it. So naturally, Parker flips out and runs out, and Jack takes him home, where Parker FINALLY admits the truth to him: he found out about Craig, went to confront him, hit Gabriel, and Gabriel fell and accidentally hit his head. THANK ALL THAT'S HOLY, JACK KNOWS. Then Jack asks, "What kept you from telling me the truth?" and Carly walks in. HAHAHAHAHAHA.
Meanwhile, Lily waltzes into Gabriel's room at Memorial where Craig is and I gotta say, for all the freaking out she's done over what Craig could possibly be plotting for her lately, I woulda thought that she'd turn around and run back out. Instead, the nurse comes in and snaps that Craig isn't supposed to be there, and Lily drags him out. Then they go back to the Lakeview together, and Lily still doesn't seem scared. Yeah, she asked if Craig was going to hurt her (*snorfle*) but she still went with him anyway. Then Craig tells her he wants Lucinda to pay off half the judges and Lily to pay off the other half so the charges against him will be dropped. Lily's all, "What about my kids?! I can't go to jail!" and Craig's all, "Who says your kids are better than mine?!" and I was all, "LUKE TRUMPS ALL OF YOU, SUCKAS!" LOL. As much as I love Johnny, Luke wins. :-P I even like Luke more than I like Lily! AHAHA.
So then Margo confronts Craig and Lily as they're leaving the Lakeview together, because earlier Margo had gone to visit Gabriel at Memorial, and she'd found Liberty there with the pearls from Gabriel's mother. Margo takes one look at the pearls and realizes they were made in a little jewelry shop in Montega, and she goes back to the station to call about Gabriel's immigrant status. LOL. He's not an illegal immigrant (damn, and I was hoping they'd deport his ass :-P), but then Margo finds out that Gabriel's mother worked for Craig in Montega. So she tells Craig to cut the crap, saying that his situation has gone from bad to worse because of this. Lily tells Margo that Craig didn't want Gabriel to die, because Gabriel is Craig's son.
Ugh.
Now for the cute stuff? :-D
Liberty gets news from her doctor that she can stop radiation, so she and Janet plan a celebratory lunch. Unfortunately, Libby Lu pulls a Katie and invites Dusty to the lunch without telling either him or Janet who was going to be there. She then takes off so the two of them can enjoy a meal together, which they surprisingly end up doing! :-D
Dusty apologizes profusely for the mistakes he'd made with Rocco, and Janet doesn't hold him accountable anymore. YAY! Then Dusty and Janet talk about how they want to "start over". Dusty asks Janet if she'd like to go out on a date with him, and she says that she'll "think about it". HEE! Yay, they're cute again! Also...Johnny and the flower at Al's was totally adorable. ♥
YAY JANET'S LETTING DUSTY BACK INTO HER LIFE. YAY! I told ya it was gonna happen! ;-)

--Lily lies more for Craig, saying he knew Gabriel was his kid before the fire happened. (Just let him rot, for serious. Craig's not worth this.)
--And Reid tells Luke that if he lets Noah know what happened between them, Luke will basically be ensuring that Noah never sees again. HEH?!
Okay, so we know one thing...it doesn't seem that Luke is going to lie to Noah just because he doesn't want Noah to find out that he feels something for Reid. It sounds like something bad will actually happen if he tells Noah...so what is this uber horrible thing that will happen that's going to take Noah's eyesight away again or further impair the eyesight he's gained back or whatever? I'm confused. But intrigued. :-) Theories? Maybe if Noah found out that L/R made on the smoochies, he'd request another doctor and Reid is just too concerned for Noah's health to let him put his eyesight in another doctor's hands?
HAHAHAHAHAHAHA, okay. Maybe not. But Reid does take his work seriously, so...that situation could be plausible! He didn't want the chick with epilepsy or whatever to go to that other doctor in Chicago...
