"Still Friends?" - Today's Recap, 5/13/10
Okay. A few things today made me ENORMOUSLY happy today.
1) The boys' honesty with each other. OMG Noah, I severely love you to pieces again. And Luke, good for you for finally being honest with Noah and yourself.
2) Jealous Reid Oliver makes me giggle like you wouldn't believe. Teehee! Love it.
3) THE BOYS HAD A SCENE WITH CASEY AND ALI TODAY! Run for cover, guys, 'cause I think the world's coming to an end. The writers actually remembered that the four of them used to be friends! Who am I and what is this strange world I'm living in? :-P
4) Giggly!Barbara and Naked!Henry FTW. HAHA. And strip poker? Hellz yeah. Next edition: Nuke. ;-) (With a side of Reid. :-P)
All right. Not all of today's episode was sugar n' spice and everything nice, though. My main beef is with Vienna, and Casey. And I mean, I have separate issues with the two of them.
Firstly, Vienna has suddenly become a skank. Seriously. She claims she wants Henry's baby so badly, but she's hell-bent on getting knocked up by Casey so she can pass his baby off as Henry's (and therefore, trap Henry into a relationship with her). ?? I do not understand. PS - Someone please explain to me why Vienna needed a thousand pregnancy tests. I mean, yeah, take two to be safe, or three even, but she had a HEAP of them! Sheesh! Desperate much?
And Casey, I love you to bits, but you are a MORON. This is why I say men are dumb! :-P Why can't he figure out that Vienna is only using him? And now he's made the same mistake twice! And half of it today was just to make Ali jealous, which is so totally juvenile. Oh, Casey...don't do this, please. Think of your future. Your future!
And now let's talk about the boys. I'm seriously in love with Noah again, and he did it to me himself! Which means that this triangle is most likely going to give me agita as it progresses. :-P Noah was wonderfully sweet and honest and he stuck up for Luke today, which made me all melty. And this is going to sound bad, but I'm glad that Luke was straight-up with Noah (for the most part. Or maybe I should say for the most we've seen thus far). When Noah asked him if his feelings had changed, I thought Luke's excuse was going to be lame. But it wasn't. It was totally viable, and even though Noah was shocked, he still seemed to understand. I agree with them when they say that they can't go back to the way they were. Too much has happened in between (and I'm not even talking about the stuff with Reid!). What I think Noah is forgetting at the moment, is how much he truly hurt Luke. I can't blame Noah for wanting to just jump right back in, 'cause the guy's basically been handed a new lease on life and he's thrilled with just about everything right now, but they need to take some time to wade through it all and see where they stand. Today was the first we got of them talking about what went down these past months, and how it went down between them. So, even though they weren't twirling around the rooftop with hearts in their eyes, I totally enjoyed the boys' conversation about their relationship today. It was honest and real. Mucho amazing! And of course...they're still friends. They still care about each other.
Which is driving Reid CRAZY! LOL. Poor Reid. I was kinda hoping that Luke would storm up and rain all over him again today, but Luke kept his cool. I really like Backbone!Luke. I really like it when he stands up and stays what he feels and doesn't let things stew. Trouble happens when things stew. Excitement happens when he stands up and says, "Uh, no. Let's talk." :-P And that's what he did with Reid today, and lo and behold, Reid stopped being all rawr! hiss at him and they shared A Moment. Or maybe I should say they shared "A Blurry Moment", because we saw half that scene from Noah's POV. HAHAHAHAHA! Poor Noah. He has no idea what he's in for. (And neither do we, really.)
I wanna know, though...why Luke didn't press Reid about what he said to Noah about his time in Texas with Luke. It didn't seem to me like Reid was "playing nice". It seemed to me like Reid was realizing and embracing his attraction to Luke more and more every second they spent there. If I were Luke, I woulda been pissed at Reid's statement! I mean, yeah...he asked him about it right after Reid said it, but it didn't go any further than that. And now Reid just assumes that Luke and Noah are back together because Luke is there supporting Noah through his recovery. See? Men are dumb. :-P Though I gotta admit, I love it when Reid is jealous.
Anyway, moral of the story? PMS!Reid FTW. And Luke stepping up to the plate also FTW. And Noah being his usual sweet self also FTW. And Luke and Noah and their time spent together today also also FTW. ;-)

So, Chris and Katie today kinda sounded like:
C: Stop trying to set me up!
K: Wahhhhh I miss Brad!
C: HE'S DEAD! HAHA you're a loser for trying to distract yourself from memories of him.
K: JERK!
C: I sowwy. Pwease to forgive? I'll make you a list of your perfect man!
K: Okay! Whee! PS I love you.
C: Eh?!
Yeah. Do I need to go into them? Nahhhhh...you guys get the drift. ;-) I will say though...you guys know that phrase "crossed the line"? Well...the line was about FIVE HUNDRED feet behind Chris when he talked about Brad today. :-P
And now Alison has asked for Katie to set her up with someone (and Katie wants it to be Chris), because she heard Casey talking his sexytalk to Vienna on the phone earlier, and then Ali saw them kissing in the hallway of Memorial after Casey bonked Vienna in an exam room. Can you smell the romance in this whole situation? Ergh.
And Henry FINALLY put Vienna off to be with Barbara. I don't want Vienna to get hurt, but I DO want to see Henry showing Barbara some devotion. And we got that today. Henry wanted to cheer Babs up about the test results that she's waiting for, so he proposes a game of strip poker. Barbara gets him all the way down to his birthday suit and then decides to toss him out of the room! HAHA. Poor Henry. Then he accidentally flashes a lady in the hallway. AHAHAHA! And Barbara was so Teehee! about the whole thing; I couldn't be mad at her! LOL. I love the two of them!
And I don't even want to talk about previews for tomorrow...because it's all more Janet/Dusty, Carly/Jack/Parker, and Lily/Craig/Gabriel stuff. OY! Is it just me, or does this storyline with Gabriel seem to be taking over the whole show?! *headdesk*
