When her eyes first glittered in my direction I knew I’d be following her somewhere. She took my hand and led it out of the house. I turned around to reach for my pen but she kept tugging and I left it there next to the wall I was writing on. The wall she pulled me to was stone and all of its eight feet were covered in ivy. She made me climb before her but when we got to the top we sat and watched the sunset, and when the star had finished diving under the horizon, its black splash made us all invisible and so we snuck past the guards and out of our lives.
