David Blunkett
This morning I had a dream that David Blunkett was blinded in the Brighton Mods v Rockers clashes in the 1960s. He was a middle class rocker - not really into the violence, more just to be part of the scene - who was hit over the head with a plank of wood causing his blindness.
For some reason he kept his blindness from the authorities. At the police station there was a set of copper steps leading to the cell in which he and his friend were held. He successfully navigated the steps, leading the police to believe he was OK.
