So, this particular fic warranted its own entry of recommendation, because it's just that good.

It's a chapter short of being done. The only coherent way I can describe this fic is learning to die with dignity, and that's... there's really no way to describe the effect that has. All I can say is that that is what it's about, and that it's the best I've seen that theme done since

An Exercise in Futility, which is one of my all-time favorites in any fandom. It's calm, realistic, and Neji and I really can't do anything in response to this fic but babble. ;;;
