Talking of the good - I love my mum

My mother and I fight. A lot.  And I don't think I ever write about how awesome she actually is.  So for once, a small thing that made me happy today about her.

I opened the front door for her, after she came back from church and food shopping, and in the sunshine, she was totally rocking the black and white outfit of knee hight black boots, black leggings and a long sleeved warm black top, over which she wore a floaty black and white print big top/short dress.  Mum's very much not one to follow fashion, ever, and usually doesn't bother with what i'd say is "putting an outfit together" for wearing. She's more an elder version of the jeans-and-hoodie laziness. But she looked absolutely fabulous, and for a moment, I could absolutely see all the years fall away, and back there was the super-pretty girl my dad married 30 years ago.  I reckon if I can look half as awesome as she does when i'm the same age, I'd be happy.

I need to remind me, and her, much more often, exactly how much I love her.
