Summary: Vampires
Life
Vampires don't exist. We're told from very young that the monsters that haunt us in the night aren't real and therefore, can't hurt us. Some, however, like to believe. They make up horror stories based on superstition and fantasy. Some deluded individuals even believe they actually are the night crawlers and dress how they believe the mysterious individuals would dress, and even drink the blood of other humans.
But, all these people are wrong, and only one family currently in existence knows the truth. They know everything there is to know about vampires. Over the years, this knowledge has been passed down from generation to generation. This is because this particular family are the only family left that has to potential to become vampires.

Akanishi Jin walked down the hallway, his dark brown hair peaking out from under his benie and his bloodshot, chestnut eyes covered by a thick pair of sunglasses. It was an ungodly hour in the early morning, and unfortunately, he had to be at work.
He walked into his band's dressing room to the auburn head of the group's most mysterious member peaking out of the book he was reading. The man was so engrossed in his book that he didn;t notice the younger man's presence in the room, and Jin didn't particularly feel inclined to point himself out. Instead, the newcomer threw himself onto the couch across from the occupied man.
While Akanishi was still too tired to move, he wasn't at at the point of being able to sleep or even keep his eyes closed for longer than a second. With nothing left to do, he decided to spend the time remaining before rehearsal analyzing the man in front of him.
Ueda Tatsuya, the band's second oldest member, was a complete mystery to everyone in the band. He never said anything of importance about himself no matter how much anyone asked. He always found away out of answering. Jin didn't know who the man's friends were, what he did in his spare time, what movies the guy liked, or even if the guy had a girlfriend, not that Jin was even sure he liked girls; Ueda never said anything one way or the other. The only glimpse they got of what was going on behind those hazel eyes was the songs the older man occasionally wrote. But even those didn't tell them much.
In the middle of Jin's contemplation, the subject of his thoughts all of a sudden looked up at the door, his eyes widening. Akanishi was about to ask what was wrong with the older man when the door opened to reveal one of Jin's best friends, Nishikido Ryo. Out of the corner of Jin's eyes, he saw the copper haired man blush slightly and quickly go back to his book. Akanishi made a mental not of this before going to greet the dark-eyed newcomer. Jin talked with his friend for awhile as the other band members walked in one by one and set off to their own tasks. During this time, Akanishi subtely threw glances towards the mysterious man reading a book on the couch, but he didn't see the other man so much as glance at Ryo again. Jin was slightly put off by the lack of attention Ueda was giving Nishikido, but he was still curious as to the reason behind the older man's reaction a few moments ago, and he would eventually get to the bottom of them.
Soon, practice was about to begin so Ryo left to make his way to his own band's room. But the thing that further intrigued him was that he could have sworn he heard Ueda let out a sigh of relief as Nishikido left to room. So, as rehearsal went on, he made sure to keep an eye on the older man, and as soon as the rest of the band left, he brought out his observations to the other man. "So, in conclusion, I've decided that you have a secret crush on Ryo-chan."
"What?!"

Ueda woke up to the morning sun shining through his curtains and smiled. He got out of bed, put some sweatpants and a sweatshirt on, and took his many dogs out for a morning jog. The crisp, cold morning air helped wake up his mind, while the light jog woke up his stiff muscles. About an hour later, he made his way back to the apartment, and set down several bowls of water, which his dogs greedily lapped up, before discarding his clothes and taking a nice, warm shower.
After stepping out of the shower and getting dressed, he fed his cats and dogs, before quickly preparing his own breakfast. He ate a leisurely breakfast, and then packed his bag, making sure to include the book he had been reading the previous night, and headed to work.
He arrived to work to find out he was the first one there as he was a little too early. He let out a little sigh as he set his bag down and took out the book from before. Sitting down on the couch, he opend the book and immediately became engrossed in the world the book presented him, blocking out everything from the outside world.
It was quite some time later that it hit him, and he was pulled out of the world of his book. He could easily smell it from far away, that deliciously sweet aroma that set his senses on fire. He looked up towards the door as he could smell the carrier coming nearer. As the door opened, it hit him as hard as a crashing wave, setting his body on fire. He had to quickly look back down to his book for fear of attacking the younger man right where he stood.
But, like countless time before, he was able to withstand the temptation, and soon the younger man left. He let out a sigh of relief as he was finally able to relax and concentrate on his book again.however, he was put on edge all through out rehearsal as he could feel Jin's eyes following him everywhere he went. It creeped him out a bit, but he ignored it, figuring the younger man just wanted to talk to him later. So, after practice ended, he waited around as all the other members left for Jin to make his move.
Once they were alone, Jin sat across from him on the couch and immediately began tell him about all of his supposed observations. As Tatsuya listened to all of Jin's words, he found himself marveling at how observant the younger man had become and partially worried that the other man had uncovered his dark secret. "So, in conclusion, I've decided that you have a secret crush on Ryo-chan."
"What?!" Or maybe not.
"You're secretly in love with Ryo, right?" Jin's confidence in the statement was waining due to Ueda's reaction.
"Um..." Ueda hesitated. He knew he couldn't tell Akanishi the truth for he would never believe him, but if he agreed to Jin's accusation, then maybe Jin could inadvertantly help him in his real objective. "Just...don't tell anyone, okay?"
JIn's face lip up with a massive smile. "Of course not! I'm so excited! You and Ryo-chan will look so cute together! Now, all we have to do is get him to fall madly in love with you which shouldn't be too hard cause, I mean, look at you!"
Tatsuya just let the younger man babble on as he smiled to himself, glad that he might actually be able to get the sardonic man who hated him to agree to his bizarre request. Everything was finally moving in the right direction as long as he kept Jin under control.

As Tatsuya was heading out of his apartment to go to work the next morning, he was grabbed from behind by a large man. He was about to elbow the attacker in the stomach, when he turned his head to see the familiar face of Akanishi Jin. Before Ueda could recover from his initial shock, he was dragged by Jin down the stairs and thrown into the back of the younger man's car. The boxer finally snapped out of his shcok as Jin was climbing into the driver's seat. "Jin, what the..."
"Here, put these on." Jin interrupted as he handed some clothes back to Tatsuya, before starting the car and driving out of the apartment complex.
"Jin, what's going on?"
"We're beginning rehearsal for Countdown today, right?"
"Yeah, so?" Tatsuya was a bit confused about how that had to do with anything.
"And since the rehearsal requires all debuted groups to be there, News and Kanjani will inevitably be there, right?" Jin hinted.
"So?" Ueda still didn't get the younger man's point.
"So," Jin was bginning to get a bit frustrated at the other man's cluelessness. "You are never going to get Ryo to fall in love with you wearing that frumpy outfit covered in dog air, and that smells like wet dog."
The boxer glared at the driver, but nonetheless, he gegan stripping to put on the clothes Jin had handed him.
For the next few weeks, Jin would come and pick up Tatsuya from his apartment with a clean set of tight fitting clothes for him to wear. When they reached work, Jin would push Ueda and Ryo together every chance he got, and every night after work, he would take Ryo and Tatsuya out drinking with his friends.
Tatsuya was never really into drinking and clubbing, so going out every night to do just that began to take a toll on Ueda, especially with the added burden of keeping his self-control around Nishikido, despite his intoxicated state. So, eventually, Tatsuya fell ill and had to take a break from all of Jin's ridiculous attempts to bring him and Ryo together.
That morning, Tatsuya was woken up by incessant knocking on his door. Unwillingly, the young boxer lethargically climbed out of bed, drabbing a blanket over his shoulders, and went to answer the door. There he was met with an angry, impatient Akanishi. "Why aren't you ready to go? We're going to be late!"
"First off, I live fifteen minutes away from the company, and rehearsal starts in thirty. Second, I'm sick, so I'm not going to work today."
Jin glared at Tatsuya for a few moments before what seemed like an epiphany struck him, and a large grin started to grow on his face. "OK, see you tomorrow, then."
Tatsuya was way too tired and sick to even care what Jin was planning as he closed the door and made his way back to his bed. However, Ueda began to care when later that day, he was awoken by the sound of his bedroom door being opened and someond entering the dark room. The young idol began to fear for the worse when the lights were switched on and the stranger was revealed to be Nishikido Ryo.
"Hey," Ryo began in a soft voice. "Jin gave me the spare key and sent me over here to check up on you because for some reason, he doesn't believe you're capable of taking care of yourself, and it's my day off." Nishikido sounded a bit angry there, but nonetheless, went on. "So, I'm going to make you something to eat and bring some medicine later, so just rest here for now. And don't worry I won't burn down your kitchen. I'm a fucking amazing chef." Ryo proudly declared this before turning back around, closing the door, and presumably heading into the kitchen.
It took Ueda awhile to figure out what was happening, but when he did, he threw his blanket around him, and headed out to the kitchen. As the kitchen came into view, he could clearly see the younger man cutting up some carrots, presumably for the pot of boiling soup on the stove. Ueda chuckled to himself at the sight of the manly Nishikido wearing one of the frilly aprons his sister had bought him and acting so domestic. Ueda walked up to the man who was concentrating too heavily on the carrots in front of him to notice the sick man's presence, and was about to tap him on the shoulder when Ueda froze. From over the younger man's shoulder, Tatsuya could see the deliciously red blood ooze out of the cut Ryo had just made on his finger, the smell of which hit Ueda like a battering ram.
The older man was too tired and too sick to be able to exert much self-control, so he grabbed Nishikido's hand and place the bleeding finger in his mouth. The taste of the sweet red substance was better than anything Ueda had ever experienced before, and he could feel his exhaustion and fever just melt away with each drop that went down his throat. How he had ever lived without this was beyond Ueda's comprehension. He now knew why he could never live without the sweet red substance flowing into his mouth. It was life itself, and everything anyone could ever hope for in life or heaven. But after a few moments, he remembered himself and pulled back to see Ryo's wide-eyed stare. After the initial shock passed, Ryo quickly ripped his hand away from the boxer and ran out the door. As the door slammed shut, Tatsuya sank to his knees. Life had just left him.
A/N: Sorry if that kind of failed. I was planning on writing another part, but please tell me if I should continue or not. Thanks for reading/commenting!
