Well no, that's actually my back. Well, more a deep pink. Yi!
Went to the annual
WOW Cafe Theatre retreat - WOW is both a physical theater space, and a collective, anarchist of a sort, of women and trans people. I feel it was a very good retreat, went pretty darn smoothly and in a gorgeous location.
It was very very lovely by the Delaware River... we were by a stretch broad and shallow, full of rocks, really nice to dabble, immerse and sit in... and to get scorched in, darn it. Again, Yi! Oof. And just drove 7 hours, much of it stop and go - with a stick shift. My knees will need some ben gay, overnight - _that_ skin didn't get burned enough to radiate soothing heat to my achin' patellas. :/
*** addendum on 7/9 evening: I don't know why the heck I had to pause in my weary course at 12:47am and look at
Stuff on My Cat, and then whine about my sunburn on the internet. In Want of Webbin', and Jonesin' for Journalin', I guess. I mean, a whole weekend only using my laptop for typing meeting notes - wrenching!
Anyhow it was quite worth it! The drive, sunburn, internet withdrawal, even the wretched gas money... I much enjoyed the company of my WOW collegues, and even avoided committing to doing stuff! ;)
At least, more than I feel sanguine about handling.
