So here are we are in June and I am still not good at updating and posting when things happen.
What can I say? I get distracted easily... ooohh... shiny....
*ahem* Sorry.
Things happening in my life - Last week I went into the ER with some pretty intense lower abdominal pains. The wait to get in was only 3 hours so I count myself lucky. Actually - the long wait was due to the Medical Computer crashing at the Hospital and everyone was back on paper charts and minimal electronic record keeping. So what was it? Dunno - strained or pulled muscle. I had a CT scan and x-rays to rule out appendicitis, kidney stones and hernia, poked in tender areas that should have been labeled "No Poking", and gave blood like i was a dispenser. Cheryl was working her other job that night so she came in and saw me after her final clients. So she got to see me at my finest - doped up on morphine. The radiologist apparently saw something of interest on my CT Scan too so I had to go back two days later for an ultrasound of my spleen. All of this bought me some time off from work which I wasted away doing nothing in particular for the most part but I did go out with Cheryl for an afternoon and took pictures along the Kam River for my website.
Ah - my website. TBUnseen is currently undergoing some site redesign. I have been learning how to do CSS in order to improve my website. So far all the menu pages have been re-done and I have started on the cemetery pages. Next will come the park pages and the waterfront. I am hoping to post some new pages along with the old ones as I complete the redesign. It looks pretty good, I must say.
I got an XBox 360 on Tuesday. I know - it doesn't seem like something I would want. But I have been enjoying GTA4 and Lost Planet alot and I am looking forward to playing Assassin's Creed, not to mention Bioshock. They all look really good on the HD too. Not that I have left the Wii behind, mind you. I bought Wii Fit for the balance board. And yesterday brought with it Lego Indiana Jones. Haha! So much fun! This game is as good as Lego Star Wars. Lego Batman is coming in the fall... :) I also picked up POP on WiiWare. It seems, so far, like an incredibly fun party game: play it for 20 minutes or so before it gets too boring.
Cheryl went to Atikokan on the weekend, went fishing with her dad, brough home Walleye for dinner on Monday. Delicious. The girls loved it too, something I was not expecting. Seriously - the woman went fishing without me. Go figure.
So what else can I share? Not too much else on here right now. There have been other things happening but I can't write about them yet. Soon though - hopefully I remember to log on and type.
