Time For An Update

So I realize that I haven't posted anything about my life as of late here so it is time to rectify that.

What have I been up to?  Where should I start?

I have been working on my Webpage again after a 1 year hiatus.  It feels good to be back at my old reliable computer working on this stuff.  I actually have both the tower and the laptop running in order to get everything running.  I'm glad I have such a big desk.  It allows for some quite good multitasking.  Hopefully I get a few things actually finished before I run out of drive to create and share that I seem to be on right now.  Check it out  if you get the chance right here...

I've been playing video games again - I've devoted some serious time lately to Mario Kart Wii (Awesome and Fun to Play!  If you have a Wii you NEED this game!), No More Heroes (Another Awesome Game - Quirky humour yet violent), and Pokemon Leaf Green (I know - Pokemon and old pokemon at that, but I want to know what games my kids are wanting to play so I've got to beat them through it).  I've also got a few games I keep picking back up like Phantom Hourglass, Kirby Canvas Curse, Jak & Daxter, and Zak & Wiki.    It's nice to be able to float off into imaginary bliss for even a little bit.  There are some new things on the Wii too like the new Nintendo Channel that launched today, Double Dragon and River City Ransom on the Virtual Console.  The Mario Kart Channel is also pretty cool.  Downloading ghosts is actually more fun that I thought it would be and each time the ghosts change so it's always changing.  I got Guitar Hero II back from Activision after I sent it back to be replaced under their Wii Replacement Program.  Activision sent me a new guitar face plate for my Les Paul for all the trouble and inconvenience they caused.  That's good customer service.  I am happy. :)

Having fun with Cheryl too.  She's been going exploring with me as I collect pictures for my website.  It's nice to have the company.  We've also been trying out some of the other restaurants around town like the new Fox On The Run by Intercity.  It's good.  Their Split Pea with Ham soup is really delicious.  The sandwich that I have was also yummy but I forget what it was called.  The China House buffet was delicious but I want to go back earlier in the day so that there is more of a selection.  She bought herself a new truck on Monday, trading in her Jeep for a new Ford Explorer.  It's a sweet ride but I have felt a little secondary to this vehicle for the last few days.  It is a cool vehicle though, I will admit, and it is fun to drive for even the little bit I have been allowed to drive it so far.

Last night was BBQ night finally.  Yay!  Spring is here!  It was only pork chops but still it was meat cooked over an open flame.  Afterwards we took our kids out to play at the park.  It's finally getting nicer out so we can do these things.  I brought out the wagon so that Avril and Dylan could ride and wouldn't get tired out, needing to be carried.  Avril is still enamoured with the swings and Rahne still loves to go down slides.  I discovered that Dylan loves to swing too and yesterday we introduced him slides.  That boy has no fear I swear!  Watching him scoot up to the edge of the slide and throw himself down the slides (almost literally) was scary and hilarious all at the same time.

There have been a few other things going on lately but I think I will keep them for another post that I will put up later, maybe tomorrow.  I have media updates I want to add soon as well.  And I want to share my excursion to the Steep Rock Iron Ore Mine Site two weeks ago.  I'm still sorting through the pictures of that one!  Very cool indeed!

Up coming - Saturday is Head Shaving Day at Intercity Mall for Cops For Cancer!  Donations are appreciated and I will be shaving my head again this year.  I have some news for my western friends too very soon - the itinerary for this summer's big West Coast Road Trip!  Stay Tuned!
