I am trying to not be publically ranty but am getting pretty ranty in private. Drove by a college sports stadium this morning with ~100 people lined up outside back to back, no spacing, waiting in line to all go into the stadium for something. My employer is telling me to work at home but is hosting college football games with ~1000 people in attendance. People are talking about how important it is to shop locally for Christmas presents to support local businesses when thousands more than usual can't get employment and don't have enough food and housing. Seems like a good year to skip buying presents for yourself and family and support your struggling neighbors. Man I don't want to get preachy, but with more than a month to go, I don't think this christmas season will go well for me.
